Reece, along with Winter, and Autumn, waited anxiously in the sterile, bright waiting room. As Charlotte was being checked out by a doctor, Mia by her side. The tension was palpable as they sat together, each lost in their own thoughts. Reece tried to stay calm, though his hands were shaking and his mind was racing. He glanced frequently at the clock, each tick amplifying his worry.

Hours passed in agonizing silence, with only the quiet murmur of hospital staff and the occasional shuffle of footsteps breaking the stillness. The door to the operating room finally opened, and a nurse stepped out her face grave.
