I waited until they would bring my food, hoping it would be Wanda or Yelena again, since I had no interest in fighting those super assassins like Black Widow or the Soldier.

My ankle was almost completely healed, but I maintained a fake limping, so I could surprise them with the ability to run. Everything was perfectly planned. Well... let's say as good as I could plan it in an isolated cell.

I heard the familiar sound of the doors opening and expectantly stood up from the bed.

Yasssss! Thank Thor! I internally cheered as I saw Wanda again. She grinned at me and I smiled back.

"Good morning" she greeted as she entered my cell.

"Morning" I said, holding my nervousness and excitement a bit back.

We ate the breakfast together and it seemed like Wanda had no suspicions about me. I ate half of the meal, so I could still run without feeling sick due to the food.

I saw the perfect chance when the auburn haired girl stood up and opened the cell door to leave. She had her guard down, stood with her back to me and I had a free way out of the room.

Within not even a second, I charged at her and kicked her in the back, making her fly into the wall ahead of us. She shrieked at the completely unexpected movement and i quickly shouted: "I'm sorry" as I grabbed the remote for my collar out of her hands and ran towards the second door.

Luckily they didn't had any lock system, so I ran straight through. I was now standing in a huge hallway, but shrugging decided to go right.

I sprinted down the hallway until Iron Man and the Falcon blocked my path.

"You a bit lost here?" Iron Man asked, pointing his blaster at me.

"Uh..no, actually I think I'm completely fine here" I smirked.

"You should go back to your cell before we need to make you" he threatened gravely.

"I would love to see you try" I challenged back and dodged his blast.

"Did you know that your collar does have a tranquilizer function? If you do anything dumb, we can knock you out from anywhere" he said.

"And did you know that I got the remote?" I pulled it out of my pocket and smiled triumphantly.

"What did you do to Wanda?" The falcon asked sternly, but there was worry evident in his voice.

I looked up disbelievingly. "I would never seriously hurt her. I just stole the remote" I explained, which was no lie. I didn't want to hurt anyone, especially not Wanda and Yelena. But I would do necessary things to get out of here.

"Good to know" another voice said from behind me. I turned around to face the said girl and she looked..sad?

"I thought you trusted us" she told me, her hands slightly raised if she would need to use her magic.

"You didn't really think it would be that easy, did you?" I stated dryly.

"So our whole conversation from yesterday was fake?" Now she sounded actually sorrowful, betrayed. She didn't believe they could put me in a cell, give me food and talk a bit, and then I would trust them, did she?

"I'm sorry" I nodded my head and pressed a button on the remote. The collar clicked and fell to the floor.

"Y/n, we don't want to do this" Wanda warned, but I shifted into a snow leopard and tackled her to the ground before she could use any magic on me.

I knocked her out with a punch of my paw, even though I was careful not to touch her with my claws.

Stark shouted something through the comms, however I payed more attention on running. I sprinted along the hallway and jumped down the staircase in a few big jumps until I reached the main entrance of the tower.

Immediately, several SHIELD guards pointed their weapons at me and I saw that no bystanders were in the building, only some employees who worked there.

I heard SHIELD people shout and trying to get order into the chaos and I used the distraction to make a run for it.

I could hear the conversation in the comms and unfortunately, they got permission to shoot. No lethal shots, but they would still hurt like hell.

I guess Fury is still pissed at me.

I shifted into a human because I believed, if I would be seen as a snow leopard, it would cause me even more unwanted problems than I already had.

I kicked at the huge glass doors of the entrance, since the whole glass of the tower was bulletproof and there was no use in throwing a chair at it.

Eventually the doors gave way and opened, presenting me an unblocked way into freedom.

I sprinted out of the tower and furrowed my eyes as I heard bystanders shouting. I looked over my shoulder to see that a whole squad of SHILED agents were following me, guns pointed at my legs.

Oh fuck, oh fuck, oh fuck!

I didn't even need to fight a way through the crowd, since the civilians voluntarily jumped out of the way, not wanting to get involved in the critical situation.

"Surrender now!" The agents shouted at me, but I just ran faster.

"We will shoot! This is the last warning!"

Well, they did shoot.

I felt an excruciating sensation in my leg and cried out in agony as the bullet sank into the flesh. I couldn't stop, I couldn't let them get me now. I made it so far, I couldn't give up.

With this thoughts in mind, I collected all my strength and continued to run, the aching feeling suppressed by pure adrenaline.

My lungs were burning, pleading for me to stop and take some proper breaths, but I knew I needed to push my limits to get out of here.

After another ten minutes of sprinting, the footsteps grew quieter. I felt my legs aching, not only because of the bullet hole and my lungs screamed for the refreshing relief of water.

I ended up actually outrunning them and broke into an apartment to hide, after checking that no one was at home.

Once I gulped down like a ton of water, I walked into the bathroom and found the first aid kit pretty quickly. I examined the wound and noticed that the bullet only grazed my leg, so it would heal in a maximum of a few weeks.

I carefully cleaned the wound and gently applied pressure with a non-sticky gauze, then put a thin layer of petroleum jelly to prevent an infection and speed the healing process.

After taking care of the wound, I found some macaroni and made me a nice meal. I stayed in the apartment for the rest of the day, since I found a calendar that showed the owner would be on vacation for a while and the apartment would be empty.

Luckily, the Avengers didn't show up and I finally had some sort of peace.
