I slowly opened my eyes to the chatter of people. I was confused for a moment, but realized after a while that I was still on the couch with Yelena.
"Hm?" I mumbled groggily, and weakly lifted my head to see who was in the room.
"Ah, she's awake. Had a good nap, sweetie?" I heard Tony's voice and felt Yelena chuckle as I groaned sleepily and let my head fall back down into her lap.
The assassin played with my hair and I was about to drift off again, but my now regenerated senses alerted me of a sudden presence in front of us, so I looked up and let out a high pitched scream, jumping up, as director Fury stared at me.
"Ahhhh! What the actual fuck?!" I squeaked totally startled.
"Language!" Sam shouted from somewhere.
"Pleasure to see you too, miss l/n," the director said, a smirk on his face at my reaction.
"I swear, someday you'll loose the other eye too," I grumbled, extremely embarrassed about the fact I was still wearing Captain America pajamas that Tony bought me, much to my annoyance, but I had to admit they were quite comfortable.
"Y/n!" Steve warned vigorously and glared at me sternly, which was actually pretty intimidating, so I shut up and ignored the others, who looked very amused by the fact I was cowed by Steve.
"Whatever, I'm here to inform you of your newest mission in a day. We spotted another HYDRA base, which needs to be eliminated. Save some files or information if you find any, then destroy the base," Fury told us.
"I also decided that y/n is ready to go with you and participate in the mission if mister Rogers and agent Romanoff allow it, that's on you," he continued and nodded to Steve and Nat.
My eyes practically lit up at his words and I looked at the two adults expectantly.
"I don't-" Nat began, but I cut her off.
"Please! Please, I promise I'll be careful!" I pleaded and stared at them with puppy- no, kitty eyes.
They exchanged glances and it looked like they had a whole internal conversation, but then Steve sighed and said, "Fine."
"Yay! Thank you!" I exclaimed, jumping around like a little child.
"Jeez kid, you're spending too much time with spider boy," Tony said, watching me.
"Here's the location and some basic intel about your target, good luck team," the director gave Clint a thin manila folder and disappeared into the elevator.
"Oh, and I have a surprise for y/n, come on kid," Tony suddenly said and gestured me to follow him.
I curiously walked with him into his lab and he stopped in front of a table on which a nice looking suitcase was placed.
"Go on, open it," he smiled and I carefully looked inside.
At first it just looked like a black blanket, but after I pulled it out, it turned out to be a beautiful, black full body suit with emerald green accents, which perfectly matched my eye color. It looked just like the Black Widow suit.
"Whoa Tony, that's amazing! Thank you," I said stunned with a huge grin on my face.
"Try it on. It should fit, but better try it out before the mission," he said and left the lab, so I could change.
The suit fitted perfectly around my body, tight, so it wouldn't bother during a mission, but I could still move comfortable. Tony also handed me a black mask, that covered my mouth and nose and a pair of black gloves with paw prints on the inside, referring to my ability to shape shift.
"You don't need to wear the mask, but you should always have it with you on missions. It could be helpful, since I built a filter into it, so you can breathe normally in deep smoke. Also, it's nanotechnology, so you can simply fold it," Stark explained proudly.
"Wow, that's awesome. This is so cool," I laughed and admired everything.
"That it is."
"How'd you know it would fit me?" I asked. "I never told you my high and everything."
"Pffttt, that's not necessary. JARVIS scanned you, he's much more precise," Tony said.
"Oh yeah, that makes sense," I shrugged.
"Everything's fitting?" He asked and I nodded.
After I changed back, Tony led me to another table with some guns and cool looking stuff.
"Uuuuh, what's that?" I mumbled and took it. It had a little button on it, so I shrugged to myself and did the one thing the charakter in the movie should never do. I pushed the button.
The thing lit up and looked like it was collecting energy, then suddenly a slightly green blast shot out of it, knocking something I didn't know what it was from another table and I stumbled backwards from the force.
"Whoa! Kid!" Tony exclaimed and ripped the blast- shooting- thing out of my hands.
"What's that?" I asked curiously.
"Should've asked that before testing it out!" He scolded annoyed. "It's a widow bite, like the ones Nat uses. It tases the opponent. Not lethal, but it's not just tickling either."
"Oh, cool," I laughed nervously. I swear, I have trauma from tasers...
"Yeah. Okay listen, these are specialized weapons. They're built with nanotechnology, so can fold themselves into this little bracelet," he held up a silver ring, that fitted exactly around my wrist. "You will wear this bracelet during your mission, so you can carry your weapons with you, even if you're in cat form. Understand?" He explained and I nodded in awe.
"That's smart," I stated.
"I figured. I'm no genius for nothing," he chuckled and clipped the bracelet around my wrist.
"Everything I built also has a tracker, just so you know," he added and gave me a look that said 'it's if you get kidnapped again because you decide to do something completely stupid'.
After explaining to me how the weapons and nanotechnology work, we joined the others in the common room again.
"What took you two so long?" Nat asked and narrowed her eyes at Tony.
"He built me a suit and it's so cool," I replied smiling and she nodded.
"We're forcing Loki to compliment Thor because Sam bet against Clint that he wouldn't do it," Nat explained what they were doing.
"Why?" I asked quizzically.
"Don't ask me," she shrugged.
"Come on! Just one time," Clint practically begged Loki, who grumbled an annoyed "fine," and turned to Thor.
"You're my favorite brother and you're so strong and fast, you could even outrun sanity," Loki smirked.
"Oh thank you, brother!" Thor said happily and Loki grinned mischievously.
"Maybe strong, but smart.." Yelena mumbled and I chuckled at her.
"Have I won, or.." Clint asked confused and Sam shrugged with a puzzled expression.
