I jolted awake to someone banging at the door of my cell, which decently overstimulated my ears.

"I'm up, stop annoying me" I grumbled, stumbling to my feet and holding my ribcage in pain. I felt the uncountable bruises and shivered at the coldness. Now I was definitely sick.

A few moments later, the heavy metal door opened and two agents grabbed my arms, pulling me along the corridors. I was strapped down to the same chair as the day before and left alone.

I tried to use the chance of not being supervised to free myself, but the only thing I achieved was to make the restraints dig into my flesh even more.

I looked up, just to stare into the eyes of the doctor from yesterday, the same sickening grin on his face as before.

"How are we today, hm?" He asked, slowly rotating a syringe with this red liquid inside, in his hands.

"Like sunshine" I said sarcastically.

"Great, should I add some thunder to it?" He played along.

"Nah, I'm good"

"Too bad. Listen, you tell us some little secrets and we won't hurt you, how does that sound?" He asked, waving with the needle.

"Sounds like a damn ass lie" I growled.

He narrowed his eyes and stabbed the needle into my neck, making me go through the excruciating process for the second time.

I was breathing heavily, coughing occasionally as he tried to question me again, without success of course. My body felt like it was burning me from the inside, but I was still freezing like hell.

My broken ribs felt like they were slowly crushing my lungs and I tried to block it out. I told myself it wasn't really happening, but the torturing liquid did a great job.

"What information does the Avengers have about us?" He asked.

"I'm no snitch" I replied dryly, but pure poison laced in my voice.

"Maybe you should start worrying more about your health than about your dignity"

"I had worse. You made me resistant" I chuckled humorlessly.

"Hail HYDRA!"

"Hail my ass"

He stared at me coldly and two agents came in. They threw punches and kicks at me, especially hitting the spots with my broken ribs, making me cry out in pure agony.

I could take a beating, but getting hit on your broken ribs and breasts is just a different level. I felt tears streaming down my face, but I didn't tell them to stop. I wouldn't beg. Maybe he was right, I was just too stubborn.

After a while, they stopped, not wanting to kill my half unconscious form. The scientist told them he wanted me to be stable to some extent. Unfortunately, this didn't keep them from getting a water bucket and pouring the ice cold water completely over my bruised and damaged skin, making me jolt up.

I yelped out, shivering uncontrollably as the icy water let every single bruise and muscle in my body sting like a knife that cut through it.

"Okay, bring her back to her cell. We'll try again tomorrow" the doctor demanded, then leaning forward, so he was way too close to my liking. "Right, darling?" He smirked and gave the agents some space, so they could untie me.

"Don't call me that, you bastard" I hissed, earning a hard slap on my cheek from one of the HYDRA guys.
