"They're landing in twenty, mission's went all according to the plan. No one's injured," Tony told us whilst walking into the common room. He had just contacted the jet with Yelena, Nat and Clint to assure everything went fine.

"We should send them more often, usually there's always something that goes wrong," Sam stated.

"Yeah because your dumbass always manages to mess up, like that one time when you crashed into a tree," Bucky retorted.

"As you said, that was one time! And it was just because you screamed into the comms and startled me!" Sam pointed an accusing finger at the super soldier, who scoffed.

"Sureee, now it's my fault."

Thor laughed at their conversation. "You mortals really have interesting quarrels."

Pietro snorted. "You shut up, pop tart addicted moron!"

"Now that we're speaking of it, whoever ate the last one shall buy new ones or will feel my wrath!" Thor boomed.

"Bucky can do it, he still owes me a donut," Sam nodded towards the said man, who rolled his eyes.

"I see the next civil war coming," I mumbled amused. "By the way, what exactly happened?"

"I just wanted plums and suddenly they accused me of murder and hunted me down with almost every government organization in the world," Bucky mumbled frowning.

"How do you not know what it was about? This was all over the world," Sam asked.

"Yeah well, HYDRA didn't exactly let me watch the news," I deadpan.

Tony and Steve both told me about the accords and how everything escalated, of course not without Thor occasionally complaining that he wasn't invited or something and Peter fangirling about how he stole Cap's shield.

"Sounds pretty annoying," was all I said after they finished talking.

"You have no idea," Wanda agreed.

Tony smirked. "Yeah, especially Cap. Think his brain was still frozen from the ice."

"We're not starting this now," Steve said determined.

"Oh, Suddenly so mature."

"Still so childish."

Before the stare down between the two could escalate, JARVIS informed us about the other's arrival and we made our way to the landing pad of the tower.

"We're back bitches!" Yelena announced grinning and Steve looked like he was about to say something, but decided to leave it for his own sake.

Clint was about to hand a flash drive to Tony, but gave it to Steve instead, making me send a questioning look at him.

"Tony doesn't like being handed things. Pepper's the only one who's allowed to do that," Nat explained shrugging.

I met Pepper a couple of times. She was really kind and I liked her, but she wasn't around very often due to her obligations as the CEO of Stark Industries. I also admired her authority in the team. Whenever she said something, they listened and it was funny to see her putting the boys in place.

Later, I was standing in front of Yelena's room, trying to convince myself to knock. I didn't even know why I was suddenly so nervous, I just wanted to ask if she would like to eat some ice cream with me sometime.

After standing there for like five minutes, I finally had the courage to knock, but before I could, the door opened and Yelena smirked at me. Her hair was loosely tied together and it looked like she had just showered because her blonde hair was a shade darker from the remaining wetness.

"Hi," she said casually, surely noticing my red cheeks and slightly trembling hands. I wanted to ask if I disrupted her and if I should come back later, but she held up a hand, making me close my mouth again. "I thought I could redeem you from your own torture of standing in front of my door and being too shy to knock."

My eyes widened even more. How did she knew I was there? She gestured for me to step inside.

"So what's up?" She continued, sitting down on her bed. "It must be rather important for you, otherwise you'd have just knocked right away like usually."

"Uhm I-I just wanted to know ifyouwouldliketogooutforicecreamwithme somewhen," I blurted out in one breath, making her laugh.

"You're cute when you're scared," she noted. "You're always making this face that Kate also makes, with wide eyes, you know, it's very cute."

"Uh, thanks?" I did not see this reaction coming.

"And to answer your very hard to understand question, yes, I would like to go out for ice cream with you. The real question is, do you mean it as.. a date?" She spoke normally, as if she was totally unfazed by all this, but I heard a hint of teasing in her voice. God, I wish I had that confidence.

My breath got suddenly stuck in my throat. "I don't- I mean if you want, but if not then it's not, we don't need-" How was I supposed to answer that question?

She laughed again. "Yes, I'd like it as a date if you see it as one."

"Okay, cool," I breathed out. I was screaming internally.

"Perfect."

"Yeah, uhm, see ya later then, I guess."

This was awkward.

I breathed out as soon as I closed her door behind me, a smile creeping on my lips. I let out a tiny squeal of excitement and went to the common area to tell Peter the news, since he forced me to ask Yelena today.

In the evening, we all ate something called shawarma because Tony really wanted to try it out. I had to admit, it wasn't bad.

My attention was on the movie that played, so I didn't notice the conversation around me until Clint spoke up.

"Y'know what would be cool? Y/n in a fight with king T'Challa."

"The king of Wakanda?" I asked interested.

Sam nodded. "Yup, black panther. Bet that would look epic. Who do you think would win?"

"I'm pretty sure he would win, but actually, I have no intentions on finding out about that," I said.

"We'll see about that next time Shuri and he visit," Wanda smirked.

"Wandaaaaa, you need to be on my side!" I complained.

"Sorry, but I wanna see that," she shrugged, then turning her attention back to the movie and cuddling up with her brother.

I sighed dismissively and reached for a blanket, leaning back on the couch next to my mom.

However, I was abruptly grabbed by a smirking Yelena, who pulled me closer to herself, stealing the blanket and pulling it over both of us. I tensed up for a moment, but quickly relaxed and buried my head in her warm and comfortable arms.

"You're mine," she whispered, making me smile into the blanket.

I was as happy as I could ever be. This bunch of childish heroes really showed me what true family is, what true friendship is, even what true love is.

Surrounded by everyone and everything I loved. Till the end of the line.
