"-/n.."
"Y/n."
"Hey sleepyhead, wake up."
I groaned groggily, pressing my eyes shut tightly.
"Y/n, you gotta get up. I bet you don't wanna be late at your first day."
"W-wha time isit?" I croaked and adjusted my position in the warm bed.
"It's 6:30 am," Steve replied. "Let's get you up, c'mon."
I felt his hand on my shoulder once again as he removed the covers, leaving me shuddering as a cold gush of air hit me. I tried to rip the blanket out of his hands, but he was obviously stronger than me and pushed me out of the bed.
"Happy's driving, so be ready in thirty minutes," Steve said and I grumbled, making my way into the bathroom.
After half an eternity, I looked presentable and quickly shoved a small breakfast in my mouth. After waiting patiently for me, Peter led me towards a black and expensive looking car in which a grumpy looking Happy already sat.
"Finally, let's go," he urged and we quickly got in the car.
"Morning Happy," Peter smiled, earning a look from the driver through the rear view mirror in acknowledgment.
I only met Happy once or twice before and still didn't understand why he was named Happy. He was literally the opposite mood. But oh well, if I was the head of security for Stark Industries and had to drive teenagers to school, maybe I would be a bit annoyed as well.
After a ten minute ride, we pulled up in front of a big building with lots of people walking around. I grimaced slightly at all the noises and strangers, but Peter send me an assuring look and said, "you'll get used to it, let's go! I want to introduce you to Ned and MJ! They're super cool, trust me."
I took a deep breath and reluctantly walked towards the building, even though Peter had to occasionally give me a soft push in encouragement.
We walked through a very crowded hallway and I started to play with the straps of my backpack, until Peter seemed to have found who he was looking for. A girl, a few inches taller than me, and a boy who was excitedly waving at us.
"Sup loser," the girl greeted in an almost bored voice, but I saw how she regarded me expressionless, but I could swear I saw a faint smile.
"Hey dude, you're not gonna believe this! I just got the Lego Death Star and we can- wait, who's that?" The boy told Peter excitedly, but his smile didn't falter as he observed me curiously. He looked way more welcoming, delighted even.
"That's y/n l/n, she's new, y/n, these are Ned and MJ," Peter introduced.
"Nice to meet you," I said, smiling and trying to sound more confident. It was always better to look self assured, even if I wasn't, that was probably the most important thing I learned at HYDRA.
Fortunately the bell rang, saving me from a probably awkward ending conversation.
"We only have a few classes together, but you have to survive the first on your own. The principal's office is right on the end of this hallway on the left. She'll tell you the important stuff," Peter said, sending me an apologetic look. "I'm sorry, but we gotta go, everything alright?"
I smiled a bit, appreciating his efforts of trying to help me as much as he could.
"Yeah im fine, see ya," I replied, unintentionally chewing on my lip. He nodded, giving me an assuring smile and waving as they walked away.
I made my way towards said destination, taking a shallow breath and knocking on the door.
"Come in," a female voice said and I was faced with a kind looking woman who smiled at me warmly. Yeah she doesn't look like she's gonna beat me up, but well, looks can be deceiving...
