I awoke as the lights went on. It was naturally of me to react to the slighted of movements or changes in my environment. But I groaned annoyed and pulled the blanket over my head.

I didn't want to get up and face all my new problems, so I decided to shift into a snow leopard, since they had the thickest fur, and curled myself up under the warm blankets.

However, my attempt to escape reality was quickly interrupted as I heard footsteps. They entered my cell and stopped, most likely evaluating if it was save to approach me or not.

I found out their decision as the blanket was ripped off in an elegant motion, revealing me, already jumping at them.

Yelena shrieked in surprise, but reacted incredibly fast and dodged the attack. My paws slid over the smooth floor as I almost bumped into the glass wall.

I turned around, using the glass as a perfect launching pad to jump through the whole cell onto the bed. My injury making it painful to jump the few meters, but it was worth it to startle the assassins, especially since they forced me to get up.

"What the fuck was that?" Yelena asked as she looked at my leopard form, now lying on the bed, with wide eyes.

I growled deeply, giving her a fierce snarl as an answer.

"Whoa, chill out" she exclaimed, pointing a finger at me accusingly.

Romanoff just laughed at our conversation. "Someone's grumpy today" she said as I lowered my head in between my front paws, but still looking at them closely.

I huffed and Yelena sat down next to me, trying to feel my fur, however I hissed as her hand moved towards my belly.

"A few cats don't like being touched on the belly. It's a vulnerable spot with vital organs, that's why they have this much fur in the area" the older assassin explained as Yelena decided to pet my back instead. Gosh, how old is she? Five?

"Whoaaah, you're so fucking fluffy!" The blonde said in awe as I grumbled slightly.

I jumped up, feeling uncomfortable with the affection and shifted back into human and she looked at me disapprovingly as if someone just stole her ice cream.

"Well, breakfast's ready, c'mon. I don't want Stark and Barton to eat all the pancakes" the Widow said and motioned me to follow her to the exit.

My mouth almost dropped at the perfect chance to escape. Unfortunately the two seemed to know what I was thinking and Black Widow held the remote in front of me, waving it slightly.

"Uh-uh" she warned and I narrowed my eyes at her, cursing myself for not being able to fight the woman.

They escorted me into the elevator and when the doors opened again, I was met with all of the Avengers. They sat on a huge table and looked up as they saw us.

"Morning feisty" Stark greeted as I was placed on a chair next to Yelena and a silver haired boy.

I scanned everyone quickly and took in a few unfamiliar faces, just like two teenage boys, a tall man with blonde hair and next to him a man with raven black hair, and a girl with the same hair color as me.

"Let's introduce everyone properly, since we hadn't gotten the chance to do so under the... rough circumstances" the Captain said.

"These are Sam, Clint, Tony, Nat, Wanda, Yelena, Pietro, Kate, Peter, Thor, Loki, Bruce, Bucky and I'm Steve" he introduced, pointing at everyone as he told me their names. As if I could remember all their names...

I nodded slowly and shyly said: "y/n"

Tony scoffed and smirked at me. "Where'd you left your confidence, sweetie?" He mocked as I send him a glare.

"Left it with your mom" I mumbled, grabbing a pancake.

I heard them desperately trying to stifle their laughter and hiding it behind the clearing of throats as Steve quickly changed the topic.

I drifted off into thoughts, but looked up as Steve said: "...so Fury decided to let you out of the cell. That means we need someone who's always with you"

"Wait, what?" I asked bewildered, since I only heard half of the sentence.

"Did you even listen?" The super soldier asked, raising an eyebrow accusingly.

"No, not a bit" I replied honestly, but he looked unamused.

"Fury decided that you'll move into a room with someone of us. He said it would be good for bonding and you'll be under someone's watch 24/7" the Captain repeated.

"This is not necessary. I don't need a babysitter!" I exclaimed outraged.

"Yes you do. We both know you would take the first opportunity to make a run for it and neither Fury nor we want you in this cell for much longer"

"If you don't want me in the cell just let me go" I suggested as he rolled his eyes.

"The decision has been made" he said sternly. "We decided that you should stay with Yelena, since you two seemed to get along relatively well and she could take you down if you'd try anything"

Yelena smirked evilly as my eyes widened. "I didn't know you can fight" I said.

"I kind of have the same skills as Nat. We trained in the same... academy" she told me as I almost scoffed. Well, good to know. At least that explains the incredible reflexes.

"Cool" I said weakly, a bit frightened that she would suffocate me in my sleep if she had the same personality as the Widow.

"We will have much fun together, милая 'honey/ darling'" she smirked.

Oh she definitely will suffocate me in my sleep..

"Oh and another thing" Stark send me his signature smile. "We added some new functions to the collar. They're really fun"

I stared at him, then at this Loki guy who send me an understanding and sympathetic glance.

"Should I be concerned?" I asked.

"Only if you try anything dumb" Tony said.

So, yes. I thought to myself and frowned as Wanda look at me with wide eyes.

"Y/n.." she said in a warning tone. "I should inform you that I can read minds" she added "even though I didn't do it in the cell, that's why you could surprise me" I looked at her in slight shock.

The others bursted out laughing at my face. This is going to be the death to me...
