26. Hospital!

Arizona's pov

It's been a week since the hearing. Michelle and I had the morning off. I had just woken up. I looked at the time and it was still early. I rolled back towards Michelle, she was still fast asleep. She was clearly dreaming about last night's activities as she kept pulling cute and flirty faces in her sleep. I had begun to talk about what we should do with our money, including maybe buying a house together. I must've scared her as she distracted me by undressing herself, that then lead to an extremely passionate night. I'm surprised i woke up so early. I could watch her sleeping like this for hours. She looks so peaceful. Slowly i noticed her begin to wake up. Her eyes flickered open and she gave me a cute smile.

Shell- were you watching me sleep?

Arizona- no? That's just weird.

Shell(yorning)- mhmm. I need a coffee, you want one?

Arizona- yeah, sure...

Michelle lent towards me and gave me a gentle kiss on the lips before she got out of bed and walked to her closet to get something to wear. I put on the baggy t-shirt i had on last night. We went through to the kitchen where Michelle made our coffees and I sat at the kitchen island. The smell of coffee was amazing.

Shell- here you go. Lots of sugar and lots of cream.

Arizona- thanks. Just how i like it... mmm so good.

(Shell's phone ringing)

Shell- hello?

Derek- Shell you and Arizona need to come in for a meeting.

Shell- why? What's happened?

Derek- i don't know the chief and Donna want to speak with us.

Shell- okay... see you soon.

Arizona- what was that about?

Shell- We need to get dressed. All Derek said was They want us to go in for a meeting with Donna and Owen.

Arizona- that doesn't sound good.

We went through to quickly get dressed before we headed over to the hospital. We went into the conference room to see the other survivors of the plane crash, Callie and Owen.

Shell- whats going on?

Owen- take a seat, Grey. There has been a bit of a situation.

Shell(confused)- okay...

Donna(entering the room)- thank you all for coming at such short notice. Chief hunt has already been made aware of this situation. As you are all aware you guys won the lawsuit.

Meredith- obviously.

Donna- the insurance company are not willing to payout.

Shell- wait, what?

Donna- they found a loophole in the claim and now the hospital itself has paid you all your compensation.

Owen- I'm afraid this has made the hospital bankrupt.

All- what?

Owen- we are doing all we can to stop the hospital closing all together but we wanted you guys to know about the setback before everybody else.

Shell- why? To make us feel bad that we nearly died? That our friends did die?

Arizona(whispering)- Grey!

Owen- the board has hired a physician adviser to help.

Meredith- whats a physician adviser?

Owen- she will be consulting on maximising efficiency. Streamlining processes, assessing where we can trim our budgets. She will be here to advise and to help.
