31. The truth

Michelle's pov

8 weeks had passed and Arizona still seemed off. She made out that she had a lot of work on, when I know that's not true. She would avoid any intimate time with me, this is so not like her. this morning in particular we walked to the hospital together and we barely spoke. it was as if we had an argument i wasn't aware of. When we got inside I went to give her a kiss but she rushed off before I could. I saw Callie by the nurses station and went to speak to her about it.

Shell- hey, Torres. you got a minute?

Callie- um, yeah. what's up?

Shell- Am i a terrible friend?

Callie- what? no. you're an awesome friend... why?

Shell- Robbins. She is still really off with me. I don't get why.

Callie- because of the shepherdess thing or forgetting her about her brother's anniversary?

Shell- both, i guess. It's been 2 months though, she won't even let me touch her.

Callie- too much information. Um, have you tried talking to her about it?

Shell- obviously. she just avoids all conversations recently. so, either I'm a terrible person or she's holding a grudge... which I know she is terrible at by the way.

Callie- you're not a terrible person.

Bailey(coming over)- you two... when you both and Arizona get to the wedding tomorrow, don't sit down.

Callie- what do you mean don't sit down?

Bailey- just find a place and stand there.

Callie- you want us to stand in the back? Then we wont be able to hear anything.

Bailey- stand in the damn front.

Callie- And block everybody's view?

Bailey- ugh! just pick a spot!

Callie- Are you trying to say, "would you do me the honour of being my bridesmaids?"

Bailey- does the whole thing have to be about you? just put on a red dress and don't sit down.

Callie- aww, Shell we're bridesmaids. (hugging Bailey)- aww!

Bailey- this is what I was trying to avoid. (walks off)

Shell(confused)- Bailey's getting married? To who?

Callie- what I said earlier, I take that back... you are a terrible friend. 

Shell- What? Seriously?

Callie- Bailey is marrying Ben tomorrow. come on Shell you knew this...

Shell- Ben the anaesthetist? 

Callie- Yes!

Shell- oh god, I am a terrible friend... Don't tell her I didn't know. I don't want her to go all "Bailey the Nazi" on me.

Callie- I won't, don't worry. 

Shell- I had better get going. work to do and all that.

Callie- Don't forget to make sure you both have a red dress for tomorrow.

Shell(walking away)- i'll add it to my to do list.

I left Callie and made my way to meet with Derek at the Neuro department nurses station. When i arrived i slumped down in the chair beside him with a sigh.

Derek- what's up with you?

Shell- I'm a terrible person. Robbins is still being weird and i forgot that Bailey was getting married.
