A few weeks later, it was nearly time for the boards. I had done all I could to help prepare the residents. Now it was up to them, up to them to not completely fuck it up and have all of those hours I used up helping them be put to waste. Callie and Sofia were due to be discharged in a few days. the only problem was where she was going to go. Our apartment block was being refurbished after the truck drove into the main entrance. Arizona and I had been crashing in on-call rooms since we got back from our night away. When we did get back the Landlord, Jason stopped us going inside, he gave me a letter stating he needed us all to move out until further notice. The prick isn't even going to cover our expenses of us having to find elsewhere to stay. I have been thinking about finding somewhere else altogether, but there was no way I could afford a house right now. that's what I thought until I was called into a meeting with the Chief and the other survivors of the plane crash. I walked in with Arizona trailing behind me.

Shell- what's this all about? I got to be in surgery soon.

Richard- No you don't. All of you have had your surgeries for today moved to a later date.

Everyone- What?

Derek- Can you do that?

Richard- We already have. You all have a meeting booked to speak to our lawyers about the crash.

Cristina- is this so they can keep us quiet about the whole thing?

Richard- of course not. It's so you each get the compensation you deserve.

Shell- It's not going to bring Mark and Lexie back... i'm just saying.

Derek- no you are right, it's not going to bring them back.

Richard- But it will mean you and Dr Robbins will be able to find somewhere else to sleep, instead of my on-call rooms all of the time.

Arizona- it's not all of the time...

Richard- yes it is.

Meredith- so, what's the plan for this then?

Richard- a hospital's legal representative and will discuss each of your experiences.

Shell- right... so we all have to re-live what happened?

Richard- just tell them how it went and the insurance company will do the rest.

Cristina- great.

Shell- what about Callie, shouldn't she be here too?

Richard- what do you mean? she wasn't on the flight.

Shell- I know, but her kid lost her father because of it.

Richard- there is no proof Torres' baby is Mark Sloan's.

Shell- seriously? have you seen her, she is like his double.

Richard- if she can get DNA match she will be able to have her say.

Shell- how exactly is she supposed to be able to do that?

Derek- Mark does have another kid, if Sofia has a partial match to her that would be proof enough.

Arizona- he has another kid?

Derek- yes, but he had nothing to do with her. I can get hold of her mother.

Meredith- how do you know that?

Derek- We grew up together. I know things.

Later that day, the legal representative and airline companies representative met with us all in the conference room.

Donna- Derek Shepherd, Multiple hand fractures with median nerve injury. Arizona Robbins, tissue damage and fibular fracture with resultant below-knee amputation. Lexie Grey, deceased. Mark Sloan, deceased. this doesn't include extreme emotional distress each of these went through.
