35. It all falls down

Michelle's pov

the past 4 days have been the best. I am so happy we decided we needed to get away. We have done absolutely nothing except relaxed, well that and had lots of sex. that wasn't my intention for this trip but I'm not going to complain about it. We still hadn't spoken about the baby, she just hasn't been ready, It's a difficult decision to make. The morning of our last day here I got up and made some french toast with fruit for breakfast. We had a long drive back to reality so i thought I'd make us a big breakfast. When we finished eating, I was about to clear the dishes when Arizona took hold of my hand.

Arizona- Grey...

Shell- yeah?

Arizona- I'm ready... I mean I have made my decision.

Shell- you have?

Arizona- I have... um, I'm going to keep the baby. 

Shell- You are?

Arizona- I am... and I want you to be part of its life too... if you want to be.

Shell- what like a cool aunt or like a mom?

Arizona- I'd like you to be it's mom, but whichever you want? I'm not going to force this on you.

Shell(hugging Arizona)- you wouldn't be forcing anything on me... I told you I'm in and I meant it... I'll be it's other mom.

Arizona- you will.

Shell- mhmm... Robbins, I'm really happy you want to keep it.

Arizona- you are?

Shell- of course, no kid deserves to be brought up in the system. plus you'll be an amazing mom.

Arizona- okay, what happened to my child hating, dark and twisty best friend.

Shell- she grew up and it's Sofia's fault i don't mind kids now... SOME kids

Arizona- seriously? you're blaming an infant? 

Shell- kinda... actually, I should really blame you for making me hold her in the first place. 

Arizona- oh shh you...

I pulled Arizona into a gentle kiss stopping her from finishing her sentence.

Shell- so this means we're having a baby?

Arizona- yes Grey. We are having a baby.

As i moved towards her to give her another kiss my cell began to ring with a call from Meredith.

(on the phone)

Shell- hey, Mer. Whats up?

Meredith- What time are you back today?

Shell- we got to pack up the car then the drive is about 2 hours, so in 3 maybe 4 hours... Why?

Meredith- put on the news.

Shell- okay... holy crap. is that a ferryboat?

Meredith- yeah, some of us are heading down to the harbour to help with the traumas. Hunt is probably going to need you both to help out when you get back.

Shell- yeah, sure. we'll head straight to the hospital. 

Meredith- I got to go. see you when you get back. you can tell me all about your trip

Shell- will do, bye.

Arizona- that's awful. 

Shell- Mer said they will probably need us when we get back.

Arizona- i guess so. we should probably start packing up.

I got up and cleared all of the breakfast stuff away and washed up. After an hour we were all packed up and ready to leave. I just had one more bag to put into the car. As we made our way out to the car, my cell started to ring once again, this time it was Bailey.
