L'S P.O.V.

It was 11:27 PM and I was alone on night duty. I was watching the others as they slept, images splayed across monitors. Light seemed to be doing fine, Misa was too, and other cops and detectives and criminals were all sound asleep. Everyone except Watari and I.

My eyes scanned the monitors for a certain someone, and I found her. Reiko, H, was asleep in the most adorable way possible.

She had two pillows. One her head was lying on, and one she clutched to herself. Her legs were bent in angles that seemed uncomfortable, but I'm sure it worked for girls. Her hair was spread across the pillow, and it reflected moonlight to make an eerie whitish purple glow. She wore a tank top and shorts, which were ridden up so bits of her panties were on display. Her face looked so calm and she breathed through her slightly parted pink lips. Her eyes fluttered at times, and sometimes she even looked a little worried in her sleep. I didn't like to see her worried or stressed or anything except calm and happy.

"You're stalking H as she sleeps again, are you?" Watari asked as he brought some very sweet hot chocolate over. "She's intriguing." I said before taking a sip. "And how much of a chance is it that she's Kira?" He asked. "Less than two percent." I answered. "And what about miss H is so intriguing to you?" He asked. "She's very secretive. More secretive than I am. I don't like that." I shook my head.

"You can always just ask her." "I've tried. She won't tell me." I hummed. "Then you may need to warm up to her." He patted my shoulder.

"I- I don't know how." I looked over at him, tearing my eyes from the screen. Watari just smiled at me.

"Light told me today that you said she was very pretty." He said. "I lied." I shrugged, finishing my hot chocolate. "Well that isn't very like you." He sighed. "What did you lie about?"

"I don't think she's pretty." I said as he poured me another cup. "You don't?" "No. I think she's beautiful."

H'S P.O.V.

I woke up with my head in a pillow. It was still dark, but I was wide awake, so I got up, grabbed a change of clothes, and went into the bathroom for a shower.

I was very quiet as people were probably still asleep, I didn't even turn on the exhaust fan and I lowered the water pressure. I took a quick shower and got out, wrapping a towel around myself and ready to put my panties on when the door opened.

I froze and found myself looking into onyx eyes. "L." I started slowly. "Yyyes?" He said slowly and awkwardly. "What are you doing?" I asked, hiding my hands behind my back to hide my panties.

"Well, I noticed you weren't on the monitor... So I was making sure you didn't run away or was kidnapped or something..." He scratched the back of his head with his hand and his foot with his other foot. "Okay, well I was just getting a shower, alright? Now can you kindly leave so I can... Get dressed?" I said and he backed out and closed the door again.

I sighed and realised that the towel only covered my middle, going to the top of my thighs and covering most of my breasts. Also I was standing right in front of a mirror, so he could see the panties I had in my hand.

"I'm an idiot." I sighed and softly laughed to myself.

I dressed and stepped out to do my makeup, then went to the main room to meet up with Light to go to school with him. L and Light were already in there, and L couldn't make eye contact with me anymore. It was obvious he was trying very hard not to look at me.

I smirked and pulled Light along. "Did something happen between you two?" Light asked once we were outside. "What makes you ask?" I asked. "My deductive skills are pretty sharp, if I dare say so myself." He smiled down at me.

"Okay. Nothing much, he just walked in while I was wearing a towel. He's just embarrassed or something." I shrugged. "Well, yeah..." Light hummed. "What?" I asked and he shook his head. "Tell me, Light!" I punched his arm and he smiled at me.

"There's just a very strong chance that you're the first girl he's ever seen even close to naked." Light said and I thought it over. Is L a virgin? Hell if I know...

"Well, if that's true, I feel very honoured." I nodded. Light and I just laughed the rest of the way to school.
