ESCAPING THE DARK ALPHA

Aurora's pov

I swallowed hard. Why is he angry?
Roman rose from the couch and took slow strides towards me, his heated gaze never leaving me.

A shudder run down my spine when I felt his hand snake around my waist, yanking me against his side. I almost let out a yelp as I felt his nails dig into my skin.

"Everyone I'd like for you all to meet my mate, Aurora" Roman claimed.

Whenever he utters my name my wolf stirs within me, it makes butterflies flutter in my stomach.

Everyone in the room stared at me curiously which made feel uncomfortable under their intense gazes.

"Won't you introduce us?" A man spoke, he appeared to be the same age has Roman, with wavy dirty blonde hair, pale skin tone and grey eyes. He seems quite attractive. I thought to myself.

You shouldn't be looking at anyone other than our mate. My wolf scolded.

I mentally rolled my eyes, ignoring her.

"Aurora, this is alpha Cade, he's a very good friend of mine" Roman said.

"It's an honor to finally meet you luna" Cade smiled lifting my hand and pressing a kiss at the back of my palm.

A low growl came from Roman, he shot Cade a glare which only made Cade's smile widen.

Cade tapped Roman on his shoulder Don't worry, it's not like I'm going to steal her. I can see she's very much yours.

There were three alpha's from different packs, Cade was the alpha of the blood moon pride.
Then there's another alpha from the night walkers pack, and another from the fantomcrest pack.

The other two alpha's are mated and they brought along their mates except for Cade, he doesn't have a mate although I find it quite strange, he seems so sweet.

Once everyone introduced themselves to me, they all began to make their way to the dinning hall, except for Roman. He stood rooted in his spot glaring daggers at me.

I mentally sighed. And now? Why is he sulking? What have I done now to make him this angry?

A gasp left my lips when he suddenly slammed my body against the wall with both his hands on either side of my head, caging me.
He was so close to me that our chest were pressed together.

"Who the fuck gave you permission to use such flimsy clothes?" He growled lowly tugging at the dress.

Uh... I stammered as his alluring scent and the close proximity between us began to make the situation difficult.
Memories from the other night came rushing back to me, the night were I begged Roman to ease away the pain.

Answer me Aurora! He growled snapping me out of my reverie.

Your sister, Emily. I gasped.

His jaw clenched. If I ever see you wearing clothes like this again I wouldn't hesitate to rip it off your body. Understood?

I nodded.

My heart rate quickened as he shoved his face into the crook of my neck.

You're mine and mine only Aurora and this he said as his fingers began trailing my down my body.
This body belongs to me, it's for my eyes only.

Are we clear? He coaxed.

Yes. I answered, my voice sounding hoarse.

Let's go and not keep our guests waiting. He urged grabbing my wrists and pulling me along with him.

Roman was seated at the head of the table and I was right next to him, with Emily on my right and Cade across me.

"So how long have you and alpha Roman been mated for?" Luna Hazel of the fantomcrest asked braking the silence.

I glanced at Roman before I could answer her.
Almost two months. I answered nervously.

"Now that you've found your mate when do you plan on having pups?" The alpha of the night walkers pack implored glancing between Roman and I with a grin etched on his face.

I almost choked on the broccoli I was eating.
"Are you okay?" Roman asked staring at me with concern.
"I'm fine" I mumbled taking a sip of water.

You haven't answered alpha Blake's question Roman, when do you and Aurora plan on having pups? Cade smirked.

My breath got caught in my throat when I felt Roman's warm hand on my thigh.

"Pretty soon but for now I intend on spending a little more time with my mate" Roman replied meeting my gaze.

Cade chuckled taking a swig of his champagne.

Pups? I haven't thought about having a family of my own. Damn I never thought my mate would even accept me.

Dinner went on perfect, the two alpha's seemed nice and so did their Lunas and as for Cade he's awfully nice, he's the fun type of guy, he's friendly and likes to joke around a lot, he's not your typical alpha male, he's easy going and fun to be around.

Once dinner was over and the guests were gone Roman went to his office whilst I helped Hailey tidy up a bit.
The other servants were given a brake today.

So how was the guests? Did they treat you well? Hailey probed as she began to wipe the counters.

Yeah they did, they all seemed great, especially Cade.
He's sweet and friendly. It's a pity he isn't mated any girl would be lucky to have him as a mate.

Hailey's eyes widened. Aurora, you're such a naughty little girl, this entire time you've been eyeing another alpha whilst in the presence of your mate.

I scoffed waving my hand in the air. I wasn't and not in that way and I'm quite happy with my mate, he's perfect in every way and breathtakingly handsome.

Wow. I can't believe this. She beamed.

Can't believe what? I asked wrinkling my nose.

I always assumed you hated alpha Roman and I recall you once telling me how you hated being mated to such a monster.

Yeah I did but not anymore. He isn't what I had portrayed him to be, he has this side which nobody has seen accept for me.

I'm happy for you after everything you've been through you deserve nothing but happiness. She smiled, embracing me in a hug.

Thanks Hailey. I don't know what I'll do without you. I sighed.

I'm glad you're our luna. She said pulling away from the embrace.
You're a wonderful and kind hearted person and alpha is really lucky to have you by his side.

You're going to make me cry if you don't stop. I chuckled.

Hailey grinned. Returning back to wiping the counters.

A yawn left my lips. I think I'm going to head to bed.

Hailey shook her head. No, you've already helped me enough and I'm almost done here anyway so I'm also going to head to bed.
