Escaping

Roman's pov

I don't understand why does Michael want his daughter back? When he despises her.

A low growl rumbles in my chest, my wolf surging to the surface, desperate to come out and rip the rogues throat for even thinking of touching his mate.

Why does he want her? I growl, my voice low and dangerous.

"I don't know all he instructed us was to bring her to him" replied the rogue.

I sigh, running a hand through my hair.
Well Michael can dream of having Aurora back, she's never going leave this pack, she now belongs to me, she's mine.

Kill him, he's of no use to me. I said, my eyes snapping to Kaden who had an evil grin plastered on his lips.

"With pleasure" Kayden grinned.

I stepped away from the rogue allowing Kayden to do his job.

When I enter my room the first thing I notice is Aurora standing by the window, gazing outside. She seems to be deep in thought that she hadn't heard me enter the room.
I shut the door with a little force to gain her attention. Her head instantly whips around, facing me.

Her big forest green eyes go wide with fear seeing me. I could even hear the sound of her heart racing.
She nervously diverts her gaze to the ground, her golden locks covers her face like a curtain.

Without thinking I bring my hand forward, tucking her hair behind her ear. Her gaze is still glued to the ground. I gently tilt her chin, her green orbs meeting my blue ones.

Aurora's pov

The enchanting sunrise painted the town in soft pastel shades, creating a dreamlike atmosphere
It was a perfect day to be outdoors, basking under the sun and enjoying its warmth.

At my old pack I hardly ever got to spend time outdoors. I was always inside the pack house, either busy with chores or serving the horrible people I call family.

When I was little I always yearned to go outdoors and join the other kids and explore nature but my evil father kept me locked up in a cell as if I was a dirty secret.

I was so occupied by my thoughts that I hadn't noticed Roman enter the room.
I completely froze, my heart leaped into my throat. What was he doing here?
My heart began to race, my eyes wide with fear as I heard him approach me.

I flinched when he tucked my hair behind my ear.
I was surprised because I thought he was about to strike me or maybe yank my hair but he didn't.
When he lifted my chin we both gazed at each other for a moment until he asked me.

"Do I intimidate you Aurora?" He coaxed.

I nodded.

His lips curled, almost in amusement, before dropping into a straight line.

"Why?" He humored.

Why not? Was he delusional?

I stared at him n disbelief who in the world wouldn't be?
As if he read my mind, Roman pressed his mouth together. He let out a dark chuckle which sent a shudder down my spine.

"You do know what happens after the Luna Ceremony, right?" He smirked, stepping away from me.

The blood from my face instantly drained.
Of course I knew what happens after the Ceremony.
Roman would complete the bond by marking me.

I nod.

His lips curled into a grin." Fantastic"  So I assume we won't be having an issue with it, will you my little mate?

What was I supposed to do agree to this madness? But does it look like I have a choice?
Well not unless I plot my escape tonight so that I would never have to be bound to him.

I nod once again, too nervous and afraid to speak to him.
I heard him let out a sigh as he stepped closer to me once again tilting my chin.

"Aurora, you need to stop doing that and speak up. You can talk can you?"

Yes, I can. I muttered.

Good! You're now my luna so I expect you to act like one, understood? His voice was stern.

"Yes"

Once Roman had left I began to plan my escape. Tonight I was definitely going to leave this pack behind and begin a new life, where I could be free.

The house is awfully quiet. Not a sound could be heard. The servants are busy in the kitchen preparing lunch.
With no one around, now is the perfect opportunity to leave.

I silently tip toe towards the door, I slowly reach out for the door handle, twisting the doorknob. For the fifth time I turn around and glance behind me, making sure no one's around, just to be on the safe side.

I definitely wouldn't want Roman seeing me trying to runaway, I'm not sure how he'd react.

As soon as I step outside I'm greeted by the warmth of the sun.
I slowly shut the door behind me and step further outside. I scan my surroundings, glancing left and right.

"Oh no!" There's two guards standing a few meters away from me with their backs turned. What do I do?
There's no way I'm going to stay here another day and I most certainly won't let Roman complete the mate bond.
I have to come up with a plan to lure these guys away from here.

I rush towards them trying my best to look panicked and afraid.

"Luna, what are you doing out here?" The guard with wavy blonde hair asked.

I.... I... I was attacked. I say in a shaky voice.

The other guard with short light brown hair raises his brow. Luna are you sure?

I nod. Yes I am. It was a man that attacked me, he threatened to kill me but I somehow managed to knock him out and flee.

"Okay... Where is he now?" The guard with the blonde hair probed.

In my bedroom....on the ground unconscious. I answered with a shaky breath.

"You stay here and don't go anywhere, we're going to check it out" The guard with light brown hair said.
I nodded. Smirking internally.

I watch as the guards rush into the house and see that they're completely inside I take this as my cue to escape.

My nerves are almost as frigid as the air around me but all I have to do is keep running.
My calves start to burn, and my breathing turns out ragged.

I desperately needed a brake but I couldn't take the chance of being caught. Roman's probably at the mansion right now looking for me.
It won't be too long until he sends his men to search every nook and cranny of the forest.

All of a sudden I heard a twig snap behind me, I halt in my tracks. Did his men already find me so soon?

A low, vicious growl makes the blood in my veins freeze.
I slowly turn my head around, coming face to face with a grey wolf with red glowing eyes.
