Aurora's pov

After my conversation with Hailey I decided to come outside for a little while. I felt too couped up being in that room all the time, I needed some air.
I plopped down on the bench and stared up at the moon thinking back to the conversation Hailey and I had.

I desperately wanted to know what happen to Roman's first mate but Hailey wouldn't tell me anything. Maybe I should ask him instead but what if he gets mad?

On second thought just forget it, it's not even my business why should I care. My plan to escape this pack is still very much on. I'm just waiting for the right moment.

"What are you doing here?" I heard Roman's husky voice behind me.

I mentally rolled my eyes. Was he being concerned or is he afraid I might run away again?

I needed some air. I replied.
I heard him sigh before he settled down on the bench beside me.
For a moment there was an awkward silence between us.

He cleared his throat and leaned back against the bench with his arms crossed.
I think there might be a way-he was cut off by a blood curling scream.

I was already on the ground as I felt my spine start to twist. I screamed out in pain.
Roman was on the ground kneeling besides me trying to comfort me.

The pain intensified, spreading all over my body, the pain felt as if someone had thrown boiling hot lava
Throughout my veins. I had gone through pain in my life before suffering through more breaks and beatings that I cared to remember but nothing compared to that.

Roman's pov

It came as a surprise to me finding out Aurora isn't completely human, her wolf has been dormant all this while because of the abuse she's been through.

My wolf is thrilled he can now connect with Aurora's wolf and the mate bond between us will strengthen and she will no longer have to run away from us.

I was furious when I heard of her escape. I never gave her a reason to runaway.
For these past few days I've been nothing but patient and gentle with her although my wolf on the other hand is being a little impatient, he's eager to claim her.

Falling off the cliff was totally unexpected, she thought I was going to kill her.
When she fell over that cliff for a moment my heart stopped beating, I didn't feel the mate bond, I thought I lost her until I felt her wolf connect with mine which I never told her.
Soon after I wasted no time and jumped over that cliff and rescued her from drowning any further.

"Aurora? Aurora are you okay?"
All the response I could get from her was another agonizing scream. I kneeled beside her, trying my best to comfort her but nothing seemed to work as another scream pierced the air.

Her skin was hot to the touch and flushed from the pain she was in. My wolf whimpered at the sight of her being in pain and not doing anything to ease it.

All of a sudden her clothes were being ripped off from her body as fur began to sprout all over her body, her nails had grown into long sharp claws, her canines lengthened.

Infront of me stood a large grey wolf. My wolf was going crazing in my head seeing the sight of his mate, he
began clawing at me to take over and be with his mate but I suppressed him as much as I could, above everything else I needed to make sure she was okay.

Aurora's wolf began sniffing me, I crouched down and began to stroke her fur. As I stroked her fur I could hear a kind of purring sound come from her, she was definitely enjoying the attention.

I could no longer hold my wolf back
so I shifted into my wolf and allowed him to take over.

Aurora's pov

A bright fluorescent light escaped into the bedroom, lighting up the surrounding walls, making it apparant that dawn has approached.
The alluring smell of sandalwood and lavender wafts through the air. I take in a huge gulp of the mouthwatering scent and slowly open my eyelids.
My eyes widen with shock and something else, excitement maybe?

I sigh as I let my eyes roam over his bare chest, taking in his broad shoulders, his taunt muscles that flex at the rise or fall of his chest and his firm skin.

Who would have thought I'll be mated to an alpha, a powerful, arrogant and hot alpha.
If only he wasn't such an obnoxious narcissistic monster, I would have easily fell head over heels for him the very same day we met.

"Whether you like it or not he's still our mate, you will have to accept him the way he is!"

A voice spoke in my head making me gasp.

It's my wolf, she's communicating with me.
I've always waited for this day to come to meet my wolf and get to know her but now that she's around I won't be able to leave this pack or Roman.

The thought alone of leaving Roman leaves a dull ache in my chest.
I sigh as I continue staring at his sleeping form.
What if I stayed back and complete the mate bond. Would Roman change? Will he still despise me?

I shook my head waking up from the bed. No I shouldn't be thinking this way, Roman's a cold hearted monster he would never change, especially not for me.
