Crystal's POV
The atmosphere of a new class slowly died down, with everyone finding their groups. I wasn't any exception, finding solace with Fiona Chan*, John and Anika. Yet Fiona wanted to spend more time with her childhood friend Eugene, so sometimes I'd talk to Eugene too.
Shiok (comfortable), right? Academically it wasn't.

In Additional Maths, the second lesson spelt trouble for me. We already went into the curriculum and my teacher's words were ablur. He never tried to enunciate his words and I could only pick out keywords amidst the blur. Yet, when I tried to piece the keywords together, they didn't make sense either way. The keywords sounded like Chloe's futile attempts to play Red on the violin.** And it wasn't like YZ, my new classmate, was there to help. He was having free period with John, great.
Anika tried to reach out to me because she is better at STEM than I am. She then helped me understand the first chapter of Additional Mathematics.
Wow, her explanation is better than the teacher's. I don't know why Mr Sam even started to teach if he's so shit.
Mr Sam said that he realised that there were a lot of lost faces, and he was always open for consultation and even gave us his extension for the staff room any time we needed to look for him.
Ethan's POV
After a quick introduction, Mdm Aidah rambled loudly and quickly about experimental techniques. I was always good in Science but it was a real struggle to understand Pure Science at Sec 3 level.
And the fact that Mdm Aidah was using gory and scary news examples instead of ones from the textbook made it even worse. I started flinching but people told me that it's been like this from the previous year ***.
Alright, I seriously need Chemistry consultation.
*there are two Fionas in the level, the above mentioned Fiona is Crystal's companymate
