Daphne's POV
"Alright!" I declared. "Today's the day of auditions."

"It's like we transformed into the magical girls and boys I've always dreamed of overnight!" Chloe squeaked, jumping up and down.

"Chloe, are you ok?" Ethan asked with concern. "Your cheeks looked flushed."

"Yea I'm fine. It's been so hot. Thank goodness the school laxed our school regulations and let us wear the default uniform every school day now."

"Alright people," Mr Lee declared. "It's time." We all got up and made our way to the music room.
John's POV
"THE FAITHS," Mr Lee explained thoughtfully. "You guys will be graded extremely strictly because I took time off my schedule to coach all of you. Remember each of your strengths and utilise them now. At the same time, never forget your weaknesses and the grilling you went through to get here. May the force be with everyone. Into formation."

When I heard the first beats of my audition song, I looked up instantly. I wasn't thinking, but it wasn't because I blanked out. I practiced both in my own time and during the practices. I felt the energy go into me like I had natural energy. Like Crystal, you know? Deep down, I know I'm just using vivid imagery to describe how well my audition went because I made the time to practice.
Ethan's POV
My performance wasn't too calm or too energetic, somewhere in between. And for the first time in a year, I wasn't thinking too much on whether I was smiling or not, because I knew deep down I was smiling. My movements felt natural, and not robotic. Ironically, everything came easier to me this time even though I had less time to prepare. Maybe experience really is the best teacher, and I was in NDP last year. Of course things would get better.
Crystal's POV
Mr Lee always told me I was an "aesthetic dancer", not a "technical dancer." He helped me fill up the gaps in my technique, recommending me to record my dances to point out the flaws in my dances.

When I danced, my moves felt cleaner than before. I was more in sync with my teammates, and I was applying the correct logic towards my dances. Maybe it's because I'm a sensory person, but I could feel myself turning the correct way at last. It felt like I was becoming the epitome of a dancer at that moment.
Daphne's POV
Flashback
"You shall dance over here!" John declared on a moment of impulse.

"Me?" I asked frantically. "What? Do you want me to die here??"

"Well, I need to get used to dancing in front of people too. We lack experience, so we must find a way to quickly catch up to the NDP trio!*"

"Alright, let's practice our moves now!"
Present day
I was the most inexperienced in dance, and being invited into THE FAITHS was a shock. Being the introvert I was, the spotlight was a big fear and a shocker. However, I realised I could do anything when I overcame my fears. Throughout the two and a half minutes of audition time, I danced like there was no tomorrow. All the tips I got from family, friends and even Mr Lee...I decided to apply it all at that moment.
Chloe's POV
I had such a strong burst of energy I had to overcome before the audition, but when I practiced with Crystal's help, I felt like my enthusiasm could be controlled if I controlled myself. Shine matters in a dance, but it's always secondary in a team. My sister and I are and will always be a power duo. We struggled together, and  we improved together. But more so me, I put aside everything during the final week leading up to this big day and crammed all my moves.

Despite my strong chills, piercing headaches and nausea, I pushed through the end. After all, I had to use this opportunity to get myself to the same level as Crystal and end all the comparisons on me...

"THE FAITHS," Mr Lee said after our last pose. "Well done. Highly considered." We all cheered and ran out of the room, celebrating our achievement in clearing the auditions.
Ethan's POV
Crystal: we did it guys! All of us practiced so much and sharpened our discipline for this moment.

Ethan: You've improved a lot from NDP. I mean, you really stepped up to help Daphne and John.

John: yet you humbled yourself. I've been hearing from my close friends you return to campus on Saturday for extra lessons. You're very resourceful.

Crystal: give me a dollar for that, I'm trying to collect money for every compliment of this kind.
Chloe collapses on Crystal
Crystal: Chloe?!

John: again...

Ethan: we need to get immediate medical attention! To the nurse!
All rush to the nurse's office
