Crystal's POV
"I brought the kites," I announced, bringing the kites from my family kite. My mother brought the others out and handed them to my friends.
"Thanks mother for lending a hand for the kites. See you at 8."
"Thanks auntie!" My friends chorused. We all rushed to the lifts to take them to the open area of Marina Barrage.
Fiona Chan's POV
Winding the kite, I let the kite fly in the sky. I think Crystal's choosing of kites was brilliant, she chose a purple and gold kite for me. It flew gently in the sky and I gently guided the kite in the sky. I'm still baffled at how I could wind the kite up there, but the kite looked really pretty from my angle. I took a few steps to the left and a few steps to the right, rinse and repeat. And once I stopped moving so I didn't get giddy, I saw the kites Crystal handpicked.
Crystal's personal kite was a sky blue, Shay's was maroon red and Samantha was a hue of red, orange and yellow. She really knows everyone so well, it's impressive.
Shay's POV
Winding my kite down, I admitted I was getting tired and wanted a break. We agreed and winded our kites to the ground. Setting up the picnic mat, we took out the food from the basket and set up the paper cutlery. Samantha finally showcase what was prepared for us, honey glazed (or super shiny) chicken wings, rainbow sushi and cut fruit. She even opened the ice box, which contained supposedly juices that were spun from home.
Taking a bite into her rainbow sushi, I asked her, "Did you spend the whole of today making the sushi?"
"No, just the mornings," she replied. "I had ahem x2* so my mother made the rest of the food. Hence, the juices spin from one are the only ones I made for food preservation reasons."
"That's fair enough." We started to talk about our lives in our new classes and the developments of our lives. From Crystal's KCP Got Talent preparations, to my activities as the house captain as Olive.
Samantha's POV
The sunset was a hue of pink and yellow today. Crunching into the last bit of my homemade sushi, I sipped my own homemade juice. Something hits different when you taste your own creations. It tastes natural and naturally sweet. It was my proud creation and fresh to the core. We continued sipping the juices until everything was finished, and then we packed up.
Shay then decided to pull out a bubble stick and blew into it. We all gasped in all as the transparent yet colourful bubbles filled the sunset. It was a scene from a Hollywood movie ending for sure. Had there been some gentle music, it would have been the perfect ending to such a beautiful night.
