Chapter 34: The everchanging landscape of 3 Faith ⚠️

Ethan's POV
Chloe was forced to stay home for the day after she collapsed from exhaustion again. Yet at the same time, she had to miss school during a time we had major changes to the landscape of 3 Faith.

"Ethan and John. Change places," Mdm Yeo ordered. I could only move to John's place while John seated at my old seat. To my surprise, I was sitting with Crystal for the first time in 5 years.

"Who thought we'd not only be just classmates, but seatmates?" I admitted in surprise.

"I don't know," Crystal replied casually. "It's a beautiful thing, huh?" She took a selfie with me for the first time in 2 years and we decided to send the photo to Chloe. And that's when the chaos started.

"OMG CRYSTAL!" Jennifer exclaimed. "I never thought we'd be this close to each other. Physically though, duhhh. I know. I'll give me 200% to pass notes to you during class!"

"How do you know her?" I asked.

"We met online, not knowing we'd be schoolmates. We just hit it off after she created a new account from her art account about her life. I'd give her tips on what to post and we hang out sometimes."

"Wow, there's a lot about Crystal I need to know now." But I couldn't have heart to heart talks with her now, because Mdm Yeo gathered all of our attention again.

"Alright class, go for your mother tongue lesson!" She instructed in English. And while I packed my things to go for my class*, she switched to Chinese. "Crystal, please stay in this classroom."
Crystal's POV
"Why do you want to me to stay here?" I asked in confusion and Chinese. "I'm supposed to go to 3 Joy for Chinese."

"Not anymore," Mdm Yeo announced. "You shall sit here." She lead me to my place and put me next to Fiona Chan, who gave Mdm Yeo an equally confused look.

"She's joining us from now on. I'll explain about the sudden change." Mdm Yeo slammed my Chinese activity book on my table. And Fiona Chan's eyes lit up in mine as her mouth widened. Samantha and Shay came in at that moment, and Fiona Chan screamed, "SAMANTHA! SHAY!! Crystal's joining us for Chinese from today on!"

Being the calmer two of the duo, Samantha gave a thumbs up and Shay nodded her head and we all settled down. When the class has assembled, we did the morning greetings and that's when I realised why I ended up in Mdm Yeo's Chinese class.

"Class, you may be wondering why we have someone that looks like Chloe in our class," she explained in her iconic loud and sharp voice. "Let's make this clear, she is not Chloe. She is her older twin sister, Crystal. You may be wondering why Crystal is in our class. Crystal has proved herself to be deserving of a spot in this class, but Chloe has never. In other words, Chloe has transferred to 3 Joy Chinese and Crystal will be taking her place."
The next day
Chloe's POV
"John!" I screamed. "What are you doing at Ethan's seat?"

"Mdm Yeo wants me to sit with you," he replied calmly.

"What?!"

"And you're going to my Chinese class from tomorrow onwards."

"That's not fair! Oh good gracious god, kill me! KILL ME! KILL MY SISTER! KILL ETHAN! I want everything for my Ethan!"
Jennifer's POV
Jennifer: look who's getting her karma. She's so clingy, she never talks to anyone outside the 8 point compass.

Ningguang: honestly, she deserves to be out of Class 1. What can she do other than cling to people, draw shit and edit shit? And the shit is super cutesy. Like bro, who cares about anime in this generation?

Jennifer: Crystal occasionally doodles anime characters, but usually she draws realistic illustrations and even gallery-worthy artworks. Chloe only draws stupid fanart.

Keqing: honestly, I can't wait for the student leader investiture! I am so looking forward to see Chloe crumble during the student leader investiture. This better be the third year she stands up and fakes being a student leader by saying the student leader pledge.

Xingqiu: right?! She is basically a Crystal fan girl and a hopeless romantic who wants Ethan. I hope she doesn't get Ethan or Crystal. At least they've got their own identities unlike that copycat.
*they are banded by Chinese, Malay and Tamil for mother tongue. Due to Singapore's high Chinese population, the Chinese students are spilt by aptitude in said language. Mdm Yeo teaches the best class and Ethan struggles with Chinese so he goes to a different classroom for Chinese for students who struggle in Chinese.
