Stranger In The Lobby

Nathan arrived at the Pan Pacific Hotel lobby, his hand clasped tightly around Yu Fang's. They looked around, expecting to see the mysterious stranger who had summoned them. But the lobby was completely empty. No one was there.

Nathan called out, his voice echoing off the marble floors. "Hello? We're here. Where are you?"

But there was only silence.

Anger rose up inside Nathan. He shouted, his voice ringing out across the lobby. "I want Karen back! Where is she?"

Still, no response. The silence was deafening.

Yu Fang nudged his hand, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Kor kor, calm down," she said, her voice dripping with amusement.

Nathan scowled at her. "This isn't funny, Yu Fang. We need to find Karen."

But Yu Fang just grinned and laughed, her eyes glinting with a knowing light.

Suddenly, her smile faltered. Her eyes widened in terror, and she began screaming. "Ahh! Kor kor, look out!"

Before Nathan could turn to see what was happening, he felt a sharp blow on the back of his head. His vision blurred, and he felt himself falling.

As he hit the ground, everything went black.

Yu Fang's screams echoed in his mind, but they grew fainter and fainter, until there was nothing but silence.........
