Nathan's eyes snapped open, and he was met with the worried face of his mother, Catherine, shaking him awake.
The vivid dream still lingered in his mind, but the harsh reality of their situation quickly set in. They were still captives, kidnapped and held against their will.
As he turned to take in their surroundings, his eyes widened in fear. The men, armed with guns, stood menacingly in front of them.
But it was the figure standing beside them that made Nathan's blood run cold - Elliot, the kind student... or someone he thought he could trust.
Elliot's smirk was like a knife to Nathan's heart.
"Breakfast is served, your majesties... or should I say, EX-majesty?" he sneered, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
The men tossed burnt toast and bottled water at each of the family members, the meager offerings landing with a thud on the cold floor.
The metal door slammed shut behind them, leaving the family in darkness, their hopes crushed.
Nathan's mind raced, trying to process the cruelty, and the desperation of their situation.
He knew they had to escape, but how? The sound of the door echoing through the room seemed to mock him, a reminder of their captivity.......
