The announcement continued, urging everyone to evacuate the premises immediately.

"Attention, attention! Please evacuate the premises immediately. Repeat, evacuate the premises immediately."

Uncle Stanley's voice rose above the din, "What's going on? What's happening?" He looked around frantically, his eyes wide with worry.

Leah grabbed his arm, "I don't know, dad. But we need to get out of here, now!" She pulled him towards the door.

Uncle Stanley shouted above the noise, as he was dragged along by his two daughters, Leah and Lydia.

"Everyone, use your phone flashlights! We need to see where we're going!"

The room was soon filled with weak beams of light, illuminating the chaotic scene.

Nathan looked around, his eyes widening in horror. The ballroom was a mess, with broken furniture and shattered glass everywhere. His family members were all bloodied and bruised, their elegant clothes torn and stained.

Richard helped Deborah to her feet, "Can you walk? We need to get out of here." Deborah nodded, wincing in pain.

With that, Deborah and Richard, both injured, leaned on each other for support as they made their way out of the ballroom.

Raymond, his nose broken and swollen, helped his mother, Meng Qi, out of the room, accompanied by Anne, who sported a black eye.

Nathan's gaze fell upon his mother, Catherine, who was struggling to get up, pinned under a crushed table.

He rushed to his mother's side, "Mom! I'm here. I've got you."

He helped Catherine to her feet, and together they joined the crowd moving towards the exit.

As they moved forward, Nathan scanned the crowd frantically, his eyes searching for Natalie. "Where's Natalie?" he shouted above the din.

Natalie's voice came from a few feet away, "I'm here! Over here!" She waved her hand, and Nathan shined his phone flashlight in her direction.

"Ah, not in my face!" Natalie grumbled, wincing in pain. Her nose was bleeding, and her glasses were shattered, hanging crookedly from her face.

Nathan quickly helped her up, supporting both her and Catherine as they made their way through the crowd.

"Are you okay, Nat?" he asked, concern etched on his face.

Natalie nodded, wincing again. "Yeah, I think so. Just got a bit roughed up."

Nathan wrapped his arm around her shoulders. "We need to get out of here, now."

As Nathan helped Natalie and Catherine through the crowd, he stumbled upon something on the floor

As Nathan helped Natalie and Catherine through the crowd, he stumbled upon something on the floor.

He flashed his phone's flashlight down and instantly recognized the object - Karen's black bow. It was the same bow she always wore in her hair.

Nathan's heart skipped a beat as he picked it up. He tucked the bow into his pocket. His mind was now preoccupied with thoughts of Karen and what might have happened to her.

As they reached the exit, Nathan's phone flashlight illuminated the chaos outside. People were milling about, trying to make sense of the situation. Nathan's family members were all accounted for, but there was still no sign of Karen.......
