The air was electric with tension as Nathan's anger boiled over. He flung himself at the other man, fists flying, and punched him in the face with a resounding crack, knocking him out.
Nathan's stormy gaze turned to Richard, his eyes blazing with fury. He grabbed Richard's shirt, his knuckles white with rage.
"YOU!" he thundered, his voice like a crack of lightning. "WHAT DID YOU DO TO KAREN?!"
Richard cowered, his eyes wide with fear. "Nathan, calm down! Listen to me!" he pleaded, but Nathan's tempestuous anger would not be contained.
He slammed Richard against the wall, his voice echoing off the furniture like a clap of thunder.
"YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE HER FATHER! HOW COULD YOU BETRAY HER LIKE THIS?"
"Nathan, stop! You don't understand!" Richard cried, but Nathan's grip only tightened.
"I UNDERSTAND THAT YOU'RE A TRAITOR!" Nathan bellowed, his words like a torrent of rain. "AND I'M GOING TO MAKE SURE YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU'VE DONE!"
Just then, the door burst open, and Raymond rushed in.
"Nathan, stop! What's going on?" he cried, but Nathan's stormy anger would not be quelled.
"HE'S A TRAITOR!" Nathan shouted, his voice like a thunderclap. "HE'S BEEN WORKING WITH THEM ALL ALONG!"
The room fell silent, with all eyes on Richard. His guilt was written all over his face, like a dark cloud on a stormy day.
And in that moment, Nathan knew that nothing would ever be the same again. The storm had broken, and there was no turning back.........
