By the time the two lovers were done eating breakfast, Felix felt the weight of the unspoken question pressing on him. He was trying to find the right moment and words to ask the raven what had happened that led to his entire body being covered in bruises— Let's just drop the formality... They were HICKEYS. Multiple of those, and they were big!
"What's going on in that pretty head of yours?" The raven asked, noticing the blank face on the blonde.
Felix glanced at the raven, his lips forming a subtle pout. "Nothing." He whispered.
"I know there's something bothering you, Minx. What's on your mind? What happened, baby? Are you okay?"
"Yes," Felix began, his gaze dropping to his lap. "I'm just feeling a little confused."
Hyunjin emitted a soft hum, drawing nearer even though he was already in close proximity. His hand had been caressing the blonde's thigh as though it were a matter of life and death.
"What are you so confused about?" he asked, his voice taking on a low and soothing quality.
The blonde gulped hard and let out a slow sigh to try and calm his racing heart before gesturing to the visible hickeys and then looking away. "I don't remember how I ended up with those," he admitted in a barely audible voice.
But the raven heard him loud and clear—for fucks sake, Hyunjin is so whipped for the blonde that if he were offered to possess an inhuman ability, he would have chosen the ability to read minds. so that he could hear how Felix truly felt about him and what he thought while they were together.
Hyunjin chuckled, his lips drawing closer to the blonde, before confessing to the shell of his ear in a soft, sultry tone, "I made those. It is my art, Minx. Every single one of them."
"Y-you?"
"Yes, me," Hyunjin whispered, tilting his head quizzically when Felix's body grew tense. "It was consensual," he murmured, taking a step back just in case he was making him feel uncomfortable.
He does not want that. Not at all.
The raven then placed his hand on Felix's chin and tilted his head so their eyes could meet. "Baby, you said that you wanted me." He felt like an asshole the longer the younger took without a single word being spoken. At the time it all happened, he was sure that Felix was somewhat lucid—or so the raven thought—but knowing now that he doesn't remember made him feel as if he somehow took advantage of him.
The raven slowly pushed the chair back, his haunted gaze meeting Felix's as he whispered, "I'm sorry," the sound barely audible in the brightly lit room. With a graceful yet unsettling movement, Hyunjin gathered the plates and began to walk away from the blonde towards the sink, a thick silence enveloping the room.
