Chapter 41
I'm not nice today

Akasaka, Tokyo
Haemi's former house

Haemi's eyes narrowed when she saw the 'House for Sale' sign on what she used to call home. She still had the keys, nervously fidgeting with them.

"I'll go for you if you want," Mika said, loudly chewing her gum. She grabbed the keys and walked to the house. The girls already picked up Haemi's stuff from the hotel, and Mika insisted on going to the house.

Haemi followed, feeling disturbed. The door opened, and the house still looked about the same. It was quiet and cold. All the furniture was there. Haemi walked upstairs while Mika checked around for signs of a recent visit. Without thinking, Haemi started packing more stuff. She couldn't possibly do everything alone. Mika began to clean up as well but quickly complained. The light pink-haired girl didn't like manual work. "Ah, can't we call some guys to help?"

Haemi bit her lip, feeling bad for her situation. She then had an idea. "Actually, I think so."

Twenty minutes later, an army of bald and tatted Yakuza men arrived at Haemi's house to help move furniture around. Mika's eyes widened, thinking they were getting mugged at first. "Hum... Haemi... Why do you know Yakuza that well?"

Haemi awkwardly smiled as Kali walked out of the car with Ian.

Mika's jaw dropped. "Is Sora a fucking Yakuza? You know what? That makes perfect sense," she spoke while Kali greeted Haemi.

"Thank you, Kali," she smiled at her.

"The truck is on its way... You want the furniture in a stocking reserve, right?" Kali confirmed.

     Haemi nodded, avoiding Ian's gaze.

Usually, he'd be a jerk about it, but he was nice that day. "You need to let them know which furniture is Kyo's so they can trash it," he smiled.

Haemi shook her head. "I already put a sticker on the furniture that's mine. They can leave the rest here. I don't care."

Kali walked into the house, shaking her head. "He's lucky he's not around. I would have eaten him alive," she crossed her arms.

Mika was still staring at Ian. "So you're the hair-pulling guy," she started, remembering him from Haemi's story and from when he visited JK.

Ian eyed the girl with a light frown. "And you're the doctor crushing on my brother so hard that she let him escape," he replied and smiled. "Too bad his type is short and hot-tempered." he pointed at Haemi.

Mika's jaw dropped again. "Hey! I'm just not blind. He's handsome... You're funny, I like it. Nice to meet you," she smiled.

"I'm sure it is," he lazily replied.

"You're sure what is?" Mika asked, her hand turning in confusion.

     "Nice to meet me."

Kali and Haemi couldn't help but laugh at his conceitedness while Mike's eyes narrowed. "Alright! Officially deranged!" She returned to her mother tongue.

The truck left with the bit of furniture Haemi owned, and the men left the house as quickly as they arrived. "Thank you again," Haemi told Kali, standing by the doorframe.

"Where are you going?" the yakuza asked.

"I'm staying with Mika tonight," Haemi said. "Tomorrow, I'll visit my father to confront him. Then, I'll visit Kyo."
