Chapter 37.5
Yoru x Amaya's weddingYoru's POV
If anyone has any objections, speak now or forever hold your peace
That's my cue to lift my jacket and display the Glock in my pants while I stare at everyone in the shrine. Speak, motherfucker. I dead-ass dare you.
People laugh while Ian, JK, and Kazuo display their weapons—my boys.
The MC clears his throat, visibly uncomfortable, and I watch Amaya cover her mouth as she laughs so cutely. I love her, but I hate how pretty she is. I want to hide her forever in a castle made of love.
You may kiss the bride.
"I don't need your permission, punk," I tell the man, grabbing Amaya to pull her in the sweetest kiss. She's stuck with me now.

It was party time, so I kissed my mother goodbye and let her walk away with Aika. Amaya's mother apologized to mine, and I felt horrible. I don't have regrets about beating up Sadao, her husband. But I'm not too fond of the consequences. As they walk hand in hand, I turn to see my Amaya twerk with her best friend. I smile to myself, taking a mental note to murder anyone whose eyes look at her ass. It's mine. I join the boys outside to smoke and hear JK rant. "He's too fucking close to her. I'm gonna fuck him up..."
I know JK pretty well. Not as well as Ian because he's less sharing, but I know he's serious. "What happened?" I ask.
Ian points at Drako, who's helping Haemi with her perilla leaves on her plate. "JK is being jealous."
I raise an eyebrow, a little surprised. I'm Mr. Jealousy, and I don't see what's wrong. He's not touching her. "Over that? Why don't you help her yourself?"
JK's gaze remains on Drako. "Why did she go to him instead of me?"
Ian blows smoke up in a dark chuckle. "I mean, he's good-looking, isn't he?"
I grin, but not too much because I don't want JK to fight Drako. Not today. "Calm down, JK." He's not listening and walks to them. I grab him by the shoulder, quickly holding him back. "Hey. Chill, or I chill you." I spot Amaya, and she looks at us. Bad.
JK aggressively pushes my hand off, and Ian takes over. Amaya is walking towards us with a psychotic smile and rapid pace. Ian grabs JK's jacket while the enraged male glares at Drako from afar. He wants to kill him. Over perilla leaves? "Jake, you're not doing this today," Ian tells him.
"Baby," I say when Amaya gets close. "It's handled, don't worry."
She keeps her scary smile. "Then why is JK acting like a dog with rabies on a leash?" my bride asks, making me hold my laughter. She's so funny. "JK?"
He's looking at Amaya with anger. "Don't meddle, Maya."
I hold back my murder urges when he calls her a nickname. He never learns. My bride clicks her tongue, and I smile. Meet my Amaya. "Let him go," she tells Ian, grabs JK's arm, and throws him over her shoulder to slam him on the floor. I taught her that. Ian and Kazuo stare at her in shock while she pats her dress to unwrinkle it. I'm proud. "Let him get up. Let him get up," she says. I love her.
JK is staring at the stars, probably shocked by what happened. Amaya looks tiny next to me, but she's taller than the average Asian woman. And stronger. And more beautiful. Anyway. JK is shocked. Kazuo and Ian laugh, holding each other and praising Amaya. "Shit! Amaya!"
JK sits up, looking at Amaya with annoyance and respect. "I'm sorry." He's calm now.
"It's ok," she waves at them and pulls me by the tie to make me follow her back inside. I can't hear the boys anymore when we step inside, but I know Ian and Kazuo will never let him breathe after that. They push him around, pretending they will throw him over their shoulder like Amaya did while he stares into space, completely dissociated.
My wife. My Amaya.
