"but I was not as deep into the emotional love feelings as he is."

Wala akong balak mag-interrupt kaya hinayaan ko lang sya sa gusto nyang sabihin.

"Dylan is perfect. I like him."

Ganun naman pala so why the fudge she's marrying someone else?

"pero iba yun sa pag-ibig. I enjoy his company, yes. We share the same interest. But, I don't love him."

"Iya, you had the choice to at least say that to him."

"I had the choice but I didn't have the balls to say it the soonest. I was too scared to hurt him pero sasabihin ko rin naman na sana last night. I agreed to having dinner with him. Yung nangyari kagabi sa event, I swear hindi ko alam yun. Kaya rin ako pumayag na sumama kay Dylan kasi sa pagkakaalam ko nasa Baguio si Andrew at may inaasikaso. I thought na last night was the perfect timing to spill the real score to him."

Nung maramdaman nyang wala akong balak magsalita, she continued.

"Andrew and I are up to an arranged marriage."

Now, this surprised me.

"Truth be told, I could have loved Dylan back kung nabigyan lang ng mas mahabang time. Kaya ko naman yun. I knew I'm getting there. Pero I was in that process of my feelings catching up to him when my family and Andrew's family decided to pursue the arranged marriage. Nahirapan din naman ako. Nung mga times na yun I even wished to have just two hearts because yes, I have feelings for Andrew too. We were ex lovers and my love for him still sticks around all this time."

"I made a choice. A choice that would benefit us all."

Di ko na napigilan. "How can you think that way? Ikaw lang ang magbebenefit sa desisyon mo Iya. Kayo lang ni Andrew samantalang yung kaibigan namin, nandun sa kung saan at durug na durog."

"Naiintindihan ko kung san ka nanggagaling Althea. Pero I made a choice that will make us truly happy. Alam ko namang may masasaktan. Given na yan pag namimili ka sa dalawang magandang bagay. But I am giving Dylan the chance to live the life he deserves. He doesn't deserve me. He deserve a life with someone else. At hindi ako yun. Ngayon, maaaring nasasaktan sya pero mas magiging masaya sya sa babae na nararapat para sa kanya."

"Last night, I have told Andrew about these things... about Dylan, too. Ayoko naman kasi magtago ng secrets sa kanya. He'll become my husband soon. I can't be shady to him."

"Kaya sana Althea..." hinawakan nya ang dalawang kamay ko. "sana matulungan mo akong makapag-explain kay Dylan. Nakilala na kita through his stories about you. Kaya kung napansin mo, ang gaan gaan ng loob ko agad sayo nung first meeting natin sa company nyo. Kilala na kita. So please help me Althea. I know how much your friendship means a lot to him. Alam kong makikinig sya sayo."

I take a deep breath.

"Alright. I'll do my best."

Iya is teary-eyed. I can feel her sincerity. Napamahal naman kasi ata si Dylan sa kanya kahit papanu.

"Thank you," she said.

I sipped my coffee then smiled at her.

"So panu, bati bati na tayo nito?"
