"Welcome to Book and Borders!" Iya happily exclaimed before we entered this coffee shop.

Hold your head up high

Listen to your voice

Rising through the noise

It's been too long since we've locked ourselves in here

Step out of that fear and play again...

We we're actually welcomed by the chorus of Country Tree from the Synthesis album. One of my favorites. Steady lang kasi sya pero when you dig deep, ang meaningful ng song. Whenever I listen to it, I just feel good in an instant. It's the vocals and the guitar and the feels. Kwento ko nalang next time ha. Although ngayon dito, it is being played in subtle volume lang. I understand.

"Althea, naririnig mo ang music? Naks, nakaka-GV noh?" Barbie whispered to me.

"Hay naku, pde ba?" Although she is right. Nakaka-good vibes nga.

"I love this place. Parang pang-matalino."

"Ewan ko sayo, B. Para kang ewan."

"Chill ka nga. Ang init ng ulo mo."

"Girls, where do you wanna sit?" -Iya

"Ah. Kayo'ng bahala." I awkwardly answered.

"Dun tayo oh." Barbie pointed towards the colorful seats near the globe na nasa book shelf. "Para mas feel natin ang Book and Borders Cafe hehe." She was referring to the globe representation/model in between the displays READ and SIP.

"Alright. I think I'm seeing a familiar guy right over there." Iya went ahead of us.

I'm starting to love this place. Cool seating and walls of shelves. Really nice ambiance and... mga ilang books kaya ang meron dito? Mga 600 ata. Gusto ko mag-hang out dito soon. I can have a cup of coffee and read for free. I'm a true blooded bookworm eh. I prefer reading on prints than reading on screens. Kahit pa na environment-friendly ang ebooks, yun talaga ang preference ko eh. Mas gusto ko yung nahahawakan ko and naaamoy ang pages.

Iya said a simple Hi to a guy who's busy scribbling down something. Pag mga ganitong coffee shops kasi, halos yun lang ang pde mong gawin. Simple hi and hello kasi busy ang mga tao sa pagbabasa or pagsusulat. Respecting privacy kumbaga.

From where I am seated, I can see Iya's friend and found out it's Benjamin Alves! I was intently looking at him when he glanced at me and so I looked away. My ideal man caught me staring at him. God, oxygen please! Please don't bash me but there's really nothing not to love about him. The looks, the brain, the physique, the attitude, the values. Gusto ko syang kantahan ng Na Sayo Na Ang Lahat. He finished his English Literature degree in the University of Guam as suma cum laude. He is... he is... basta. I need to calm down my kilig bones.

"Althea..."

"Hmm B? May sinasabi ka?"
