The wheels of the private jet touched down smoothly on the tarmac, signaling the end of Taylor  and Travis's dreamy Cabo getaway. Their surprise proposal on the beach, the intimate moments exploring the town, and the shared laughter over candlelit dinners had made this vacation unforgettable. But as much as they'd loved their time alone, they were both excited to return home and share their happy news with their families.

As they disembarked the plane and made their way through the private terminal, Taylor couldn't help but smile, her fingers intertwined with Travis's. She glanced down at the sparkling diamond ring on her finger, still in awe that this was real. She was engaged to Travis—her best friend, her love, her future.

"Ready to tell them?" Travis asked, squeezing her hand as they approached the waiting SUV.

"More than ready," Taylor replied, leaning into him. "I can't wait to see the look on everyone's faces."

Travis chuckled as he opened the car door for her. "Me neither. I think my mom might cry."

Taylor grinned, imagining the moment. "I think my mom will, too. And probably Austin. He's always been the sentimental one."

They both laughed as they settled into the backseat of the SUV. The drive from the airport to Taylor's house flew by, the anticipation making every mile feel shorter. As they pulled into the driveway, Taylor felt her heart skip a beat. This was it—the first of many moments where they'd share their joy with those they loved.

"Do you want to call your parents first, or should we surprise mine in person?" Taylor asked as they stepped out of the car.

"Let's surprise yours first," Travis suggested with a grin. "I'm ready to see their reactions."

Taylor nodded, taking a deep breath as they walked up to the front door. She didn't have to knock—her mother, Andrea, had spotted them through the window and was already pulling the door open with a big smile.

"Taylor! Travis! Welcome back!" Andrea exclaimed, pulling her daughter into a warm hug. "How was Cabo?"

"It was amazing, Mom," Taylor replied, hugging her back tightly before stepping aside so Travis could get his turn.

"Andrea, good to see you," Travis said, grinning as Andrea wrapped him in a motherly embrace.

"Come in, come in!" Andrea urged, ushering them inside. "Your dad and Austin are in the living room. They've been talking about football for the past hour—Travis, you've created quite the fan club here."

Taylor laughed as she followed her mother into the house, Travis's hand still firmly in hers. As they entered the living room, they were greeted by Scott Swift and Austin, who were both sitting on the couch, deep in conversation about the latest game.

"Hey there, superstar," Scott greeted Travis with a warm handshake as Austin got up to give his sister a hug.

"Glad to see you two made it back safe and sound," Austin said, ruffling Taylor's hair affectionately.

"Thanks, Austin," Taylor replied, swatting his hand away playfully. "But we have some news to share with you all."

Andrea's eyes lit up with curiosity as she settled onto the arm of the couch. "Oh? What's going on?"

Taylor exchanged a glance with Travis, her heart pounding with excitement. This was the moment they had been waiting for. Taking a deep breath, Taylor held up her hand, letting the diamond ring catch the light.

"We're engaged!" she announced, her voice filled with joy.

For a split second, there was silence as the words sank in. Then, as if on cue, the room erupted into a chorus of gasps, cheers, and excited exclamations.
