The afternoon sunlight filtered through the large windows of the Kelce home, casting a warm glow over the group gathered in the living room. Taylor, sitting comfortably between Travis and Abigail, laughed at something Jason had said, her eyes sparkling. They had all gathered for a casual hangout—Jason, Abigail, Travis, and a few of their friends, including Patrick, Ross, and Aric. The mood was light, filled with easy banter and teasing.

Travis slung his arm around Taylor, leaning back into the couch with a relaxed grin. "You guys remember when we all thought Ross was going to get us kicked out of that restaurant last month?"

Laughter erupted as Ross mockingly rolled his eyes. "I was just making a point!"

Jason snorted. "You were *yelling* at the waiter over steak, man. Pretty sure the manager was dialing security by the time you finished your 'point.'"

The group dissolved into laughter again, but Abigail's face flushed a bit too brightly as she let out a high-pitched giggle. Taylor shot her a sideways glance, a tiny flash of panic running across her face that only Abigail seemed to catch.

Abigail's laughter turned a bit awkward, and without thinking, she blurted out, "Hey, at least it wasn't as bad as the time we were held at gunpoint in Taylor's house!"

The room went dead silent. You could hear a pin drop.

Travis froze beside Taylor, his casual grin vanishing as his brow furrowed. "Wait, what?"

Abigail's eyes widened in horror, realizing what she had just said. Taylor's hand flew up to her forehead as she groaned, "Abigail, no..."

But it was too late. All eyes were now on the two women, a mixture of shock, confusion, and concern flashing across their friends' faces.

"*What* are you talking about?" Jason asked, his voice filled with incredulity. "Held at gunpoint?"

"Story time," Patrick said, leaning forward on the edge of the couch with a serious look. "You can't just drop a bomb like that and not explain."

Travis, still frozen, tightened his grip on Taylor's hand. His gaze pierced through her, demanding an answer. "You were in danger? When did this happen? And why didn't I know about this?"

Taylor sighed heavily, shooting Abigail a half-annoyed, half-apologetic look before turning to face everyone. "Okay, okay. We'll tell you what happened." She hesitated, biting her lip. "But first, you all have to promise not to freak out."

"I make no promises," Travis said, his voice steely. Jason and the others nodded in agreement, their curiosity piqued.

Taylor shared one last glance with Abigail before beginning. "It was about six months ago, while Travis and I were still dating, before we... you know, moved in together. Abigail and I were just hanging out at my house like we usually do."
