It was the evening of December 8th, and the atmosphere in Vancouver's Rogers Arena was electric with anticipation. The final show of Taylor Swift's *Eras* tour was about to begin, but in her dressing room, the mood was far from celebratory. Taylor sat on the edge of her chair, her makeup half done, her mind elsewhere. She was supposed to be excited, but instead, she felt an overwhelming sense of sadness. Her thoughts kept drifting back to Travis, who was miles away, supposedly gearing up for an away game against the Miami Dolphins.

Abigail, Taylor's best friend, noticed her distress. She walked over, her face etched with concern. "Taylor, are you okay? You've been quiet for a while."

Taylor shook her head, her voice trembling. "I'm just... I miss him so much. It's the last show of the tour, and he's not here. He said he had this big game, and I understand, but I really wish he could be here."

Abigail sat beside her, placing a comforting hand on her back. "I know it's hard, Tay. You've been working so hard, and it would mean the world to have him here with you. But remember, you've got your family, your friends, and all your fans who are here to support you tonight."

Taylor looked at her reflection in the mirror, the smile she tried to muster failing to reach her eyes. "I just can't shake this feeling. I wanted him here to share this moment with me."

Abigail hugged her tightly, whispering soothing words. "It's okay to feel this way. You've been through so much, and it's natural to want him here. But you're going to go out there and shine, because that's what you do best."

Taylor wiped her eyes, trying to compose herself. "Thanks, Abby. I just need a minute."

As Abigail continued to comfort her, Taylor's phone buzzed on the vanity. It was a FaceTime call from Travis. She quickly answered, trying to hide the redness of her eyes.

"Hey, superstar," Travis greeted with his usual warmth, though his face looked tired, and there was a touch of sadness in his eyes as well. "How's the show prep going?"

"I'm... okay," Taylor said, her voice cracking slightly. "I just wish you were here. I know you're busy with the game, but it's the last show, and I really wanted you here with me."

Travis's expression softened. "I know, Tay. I wish I could be there too. It's a big game, but I'll be watching every moment of your performance. I promise."

Taylor tried to smile, but the tears started to fall again. "I just want you to know I'm thinking of you. Good luck at the game. I'll be cheering for you."

Travis's voice grew tender. "Thank you. I'll be thinking of you too. I'll call you as soon as the game is over, okay? I love you."

"I love you too," Taylor said, her voice choked with emotion. They exchanged quick goodbyes, and as the call ended, Taylor let out a shaky breath. Abigail remained by her side, her presence a steady anchor.

"Go out there and give them a show they'll never forget," Abigail encouraged her. "Travis will be so proud."

Taylor nodded, wiping her tears. "You're right. I need to focus on the performance."

The concert began, and Taylor's performance was nothing short of spectacular. Each song resonated with the audience, and the energy in the arena was palpable. Yet, beneath the surface, Taylor couldn't shake the longing for Travis. She performed with all her heart, channeling her emotions into every lyric, but a part of her remained wistful.

Backstage, the planning for the surprise was in full swing. Travis had flown in secretly, coordinating with Tree, Andrea, Scott, and Austin to make sure he didn't spoil the surprise. They had worked tirelessly to arrange a covert entrance and a safe spot for him to wait until after the show.
