Travis Kelce's couldn't help but smile as he adjusted the tiny sun hat on Bennett's head. The little girl, Jason and Kylie's youngest, squirmed slightly in his arms but let out a soft giggle as she looked up at him. Travis had always been the "fun uncle," and while Wyatt and Ellie were off having the time of their lives at an amusement park with their parents, he had been left with the unexpected challenge of babysitting Bennett during football practice.
He had insisted it would be easy, though Jason looked skeptical.
"You sure about this?" Jason had asked earlier that morning, bouncing Bennett in his arms while Wyatt and Ellie raced around the kitchen, excited for their day.
Travis had shot him a confident grin. "Bro, I've got this. One baby? Easy. You're talking to Uncle Trav here."
Kylie had laughed, handing Travis the diaper bag filled with everything he could possibly need. "If you say so. Just make sure she doesn't eat the grass during practice."
"I can't make any promises," Travis had joked, winking at Bennett, who was now smiling up at him with those wide, innocent eyes.
Now, at practice, Bennett was being an absolute angel, much to Travis' relief and pride. She was nestled comfortably in his arms, watching with curiosity as players jogged up and down the field. Her tiny head bobbed as she tried to follow the football, her chubby hands gripping onto the fabric of Travis' jersey.
"Hey, you keeping an eye on everything, little lady?" Travis chuckled, shifting her in his arms so she had a better view. "I'm gonna make a quarterback out of you yet."
He had to admit, there was something surprisingly calming about having Bennett with him during practice. His teammates had teased him a little when he showed up with a baby in tow, but all of them had softened immediately when they saw Bennett's big blue eyes and her chubby cheeks. Even Coach had cracked a smile when he saw her.
As the players took a break from drills, Patrick Mahomes jogged over, wiping sweat from his forehead.
"Well, well," Patrick said with a smirk. "Looks like Uncle Trav's on babysitting duty today."
Travis grinned, bouncing Bennett gently in his arms. "And I'm killing it, man. She's been chill the whole time."
Patrick leaned in, making a funny face at Bennett, who rewarded him with a giggle. "I've gotta say, you're making this dad thing look easy."
"I know, right?" Travis replied, feeling a swell of pride. "It's nothing. She's a total sweetheart. No fuss at all."
"Maybe you're a natural," Patrick joked, giving Travis a nudge. "Better watch out. You'll have one of your own soon."
Travis laughed, not giving it much thought. "Yeah, yeah, we'll see."

The rest of practice went by smoothly. Bennett stayed content, watching the players run around and even napping in Travis' arms for a bit. Travis couldn't help but feel a strange sense of accomplishment by the time practice was over. He hadn't just survived babysitting; he'd actually enjoyed it.
"Alright, Bennett," Travis said as he packed up the diaper bag, carefully placing the bottle and wipes back inside. "Let's head home. Time to show your mom and dad how great Uncle Trav is."
He placed Bennett in her car seat, making sure the straps were snug but not too tight, and climbed into his car. As he drove back to Jason's house, he couldn't stop smiling. He couldn't wait to brag to Taylor about how well he'd handled everything. She always teased him about being a big softie with his nieces and nephews, but today, he felt like he had really nailed it.

When Travis arrived home later that afternoon, the house was quiet. Taylor was sitting on the couch, her hair pulled back in a messy bun, looking up from her book with a smile as Travis walked in.
"Well, look who it is. How was babysitting duty?" she asked, setting her book aside and standing to greet him.
Travis puffed out his chest playfully, grinning from ear to ear. "Oh, I crushed it. Bennett and I had the best day. No tears, no fussing. I'm telling you, babe, I'm a pro. I think I was born for this."
Taylor raised an eyebrow, amusement dancing in her eyes. "Is that so?"
"Yep," Travis said, walking over and wrapping his arms around her waist. "I'm just saying, if we ever decide to have kids, I'm ready. Uncle Trav is gonna make a pretty awesome dad."
Taylor bit her lip, a flicker of something in her expression that Travis couldn't quite place. She hesitated for a moment, then smiled, her eyes softening as she looked up at him.
"Is this your way of telling me you want kids?" she asked, her voice teasing but gentle.
Travis chuckled, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "I mean, I wouldn't be opposed. Especially after today. I think I'm ready for the challenge."
Taylor's smile widened, but there was a new glimmer in her eyes now—something more serious, more... excited.
"Well," she said softly, stepping back just enough to pull something out of her pocket, "I'm glad you love babies, because... I think you're about to get a lot more practice."
She held out the object in her hand, and Travis' breath caught in his throat.
It was a pregnancy test.
A positive pregnancy test.
For a moment, Travis was completely speechless. He stared at the test in Taylor's hand, then back at her face, his mind racing to catch up with what was happening.
"Wait..." he breathed, his voice barely above a whisper. "Are you... are we...?"
Taylor nodded, tears welling up in her eyes as she smiled. "Yeah. We're having a baby."
For the first time in his life, Travis Kelce was completely and utterly stunned. He didn't know whether to laugh, cry, or shout in joy. Instead, he simply pulled Taylor into his arms, holding her close as the realization settled over him.
He placed his hand gently on her stomach, his heart swelling with love and awe. "I can't believe you've got a baby in you," he whispered, his voice thick with emotion. "We're gonna be parents."
Taylor laughed softly, leaning into him as tears slipped down her cheeks. "Yeah, we are."
Travis held her close, his hand still resting protectively on her stomach. He couldn't believe it. In one day, he had gone from babysitting Bennett to finding out he was going to be a dad. It was surreal, overwhelming, and absolutely incredible all at once.
As they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, Travis couldn't help but think about the future—their future. A future with their own little family, their own little one to love and protect. And suddenly, he couldn't wait.
"Well," he said with a wide grin, wiping a tear from Taylor's cheek, "looks like Uncle Trav is gonna have to step up his game."
Taylor laughed, snuggling closer to him. "I think you're gonna do just fine."
And for once, Travis knew without a doubt that she was right
