It had been a surprisingly calm morning in the Kelce household, which should have been Travis's first clue that something was about to go down. Between juggling three kids—five-year-old River, two-year-old Maisie, and newborn Lillian—there was rarely a quiet moment in the house. But today was different. Too different.

Travis sat at the kitchen island, nursing a mug of coffee as he flipped through game tape on his tablet. River was playing dress-up in the living room, twirling in her princess gown while shouting commands at Maisie, who was chasing one of her obnoxious wind-up toys that barked every five seconds. Meanwhile, Taylor sat on the couch, gently rocking baby Lillian in her arms as Meredith, Olivia, and Benjamin, their three beloved cats, dozed lazily around her. The calm before the storm.

And then, the doorbell rang.

"I'll get it!" River screamed, already dashing toward the front door before either Travis or Taylor could stop her.

"River, wait—" Travis started, but it was too late. She was already unlocking the door with a gleeful giggle.

Travis shot Taylor a look of apprehension, the hairs on the back of his neck standing up. He had a bad feeling.

"You expecting someone?" Taylor asked, raising an eyebrow.

Travis narrowed his eyes, shaking his head. "No. But knowing Jason, that doesn't matter."

Before Taylor could respond, River flung open the door. And there, standing on the front porch with a grin as wide as the Missouri River, was none other than Jason Kelce himself.

"UNCLE JASON!" River squealed, launching herself at his legs.

Jason scooped her up with ease, his grin growing wider. "Hey, squirt!"

But it wasn't Jason's arrival that made Travis groan. No, it was what—or rather, who—Jason brought with him. Behind him sat an enormous crate. And from within that crate came the unmistakable sound of *meowing*. Not just one kitten. *Several* kittens.

Travis felt his stomach drop. He *knew* this was coming. Ever since he and Taylor had gotten revenge on Jason last year by sending his kids a rambunctious kitten, Travis had been waiting for the other shoe to drop. Jason wasn't the type to let something like that slide. But still, *this* was next-level payback.

"Jason, what did you do?" Travis asked, rubbing a hand over his face.

Jason's grin was downright evil. "Oh, nothing much. Just bringing a little gift for my nieces. You know, a *thank you* for that kitten you and Tay sent my way last year."

Taylor had finally gotten up from the couch, baby Lillian nestled in the crook of her arm as she peered out the door. Her eyes landed on the crate, and they widened in pure joy. "Oh my God. Are those..."

"KITTENS!" River screamed in delight, squirming out of Jason's arms and running to the crate. Maisie, not wanting to be left out, toddled after her, her wide eyes brimming with excitement as she pointed to the box. "Kitty!"

Jason gave Travis a smug look, clearly relishing in his little brother's misery. "You sent me one kitten, bro. So I figured, why not go bigger? Meet the *entire* litter." He then whipped the sheet off the top of the crate with a flourish, revealing four squirming, wide-eyed kittens, meowing and pawing at the bars of their enclosure.

Travis groaned, his worst fears realized. "Jason, four? You brought *four* kittens?"

Jason shrugged, a smug grin still plastered on his face. "Hey, it's only fair. One kitten for each of my kids to share, so I brought one kitten for each of yours. Think of it as balanced karma."
