The late summer sun filtered through the windows as Taylor Swift paced the living room, her heart racing. It was the day before the season opener, and Travis would be home any minute after wrapping up practice. But today wasn't just about football. No, today was about something much bigger—a secret she'd been keeping for the last few days, waiting for the perfect moment to reveal it.
She glanced down at the small, gift-wrapped box she'd placed on the coffee table, her hands trembling slightly. Inside was the news that would change everything.
The sound of the front door opening snapped her out of her thoughts. Travis's deep voice echoed from the hallway. "Babe, you home?"
"In here!" she called, trying to keep her voice steady.
Travis appeared in the doorway, his smile as wide as ever, though clearly exhausted from practice. "Man, it's good to be home." He walked over to her, wrapping his arms around her in a tight embrace. "I missed you."
"I missed you too," she whispered, holding him close, her heart pounding.
He pulled back just enough to kiss her forehead. "What's this?" he asked, noticing the box on the table.
Taylor bit her lip, excitement bubbling in her chest. "I have a little surprise for you."
Travis raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "A surprise, huh?"
She nodded, her nerves threatening to take over. "Open it."
Travis reached for the box, pulling the ribbon loose and lifting the lid. Inside was a small, folded piece of paper. Confused, he picked it up and unfolded it, his eyes scanning the words. Slowly, the confusion melted away, replaced by pure shock.
"Taylor..." His voice cracked, and he looked up at her, wide-eyed. "Are you serious?"
Tears welled in her eyes as she nodded. "I'm pregnant."
For a moment, Travis just stared at her, his mind trying to process the enormity of what she'd just said. And then, without warning, he pulled her into his arms, lifting her off the ground as he spun her around. "We're having a baby?!"
Taylor laughed through her tears, nodding again. "Yes, we are."
Travis set her down gently, his hands cupping her face as he kissed her, full of love and joy. "I can't believe it," he whispered against her lips. "We're going to be parents."
A few weeks later, they found themselves in the doctor's office for their first ultrasound. Taylor lay on the exam table, gripping Travis's hand tightly as the doctor moved the wand over her belly.
"There they are," the doctor said with a smile, pointing to the screen.
Taylor's heart skipped a beat. "They?" she repeated, her voice barely above a whisper.
The doctor nodded, her smile widening. "Congratulations, you're having twins."
For a moment, Taylor and Travis just stared at each other, their eyes wide with disbelief. And then, slowly, a grin spread across Travis's face.
"Twins?" he said, almost to himself. "We're having two babies?"
Taylor squeezed his hand, her heart swelling with love and excitement. "I guess we are."
Months passed in a blur of excitement and preparation. Taylor's belly grew, and with it, their anticipation for the arrival of their daughters. When the time came for the gender reveal party, Travis decided to make it even more special.
The backyard was filled with their closest friends and family, all gathered to find out whether they were expecting boys or girls. A giant balloon floated in the center of the yard, filled with either pink or blue confetti, waiting to be popped.
