Taylor had seen Travis clingy before—after all, he'd been her rock through the endless rollercoaster of emotions and physical challenges that came with her health issues. But today was a new level of clingy, even for him.
She had barely stirred in bed that morning when she felt Travis's arm tighten around her waist. He'd already been awake, just watching her sleep, a contented smile on his lips. "Good morning, Tay," he whispered, brushing a kiss across her forehead. His breath was warm and comforting, the kind of thing that normally would have set her day off right. But there was something else behind his gaze this morning, a reluctance she couldn't quite put her finger on.
"Morning, babe," she murmured, snuggling closer to him. She wanted to savor the warmth of his embrace for just a little longer before the day pulled them apart. Except... she could feel that today, he wasn't going to let her go so easily.
As she started to shift out of his grasp to get up, Travis's arms held firm, pulling her back against his chest. "Stay," he mumbled into her hair, his voice low and almost pleading.
She chuckled softly, tilting her head to look up at him. "As much as I'd love to stay in bed all day with you, Mr. Kelce, some of us have work to do," she teased.
He let out a dramatic sigh, nuzzling his face into her neck. "But I miss you already," he said, his tone almost childlike.
Taylor laughed again, turning in his arms so she could face him. She cupped his face in her hands, thumbs brushing over the stubble on his jaw. "I miss you too, but we both know I have to go to rehearsals today. And you have practice, don't forget."
Travis groaned, clearly not thrilled with that reminder. "Practice can wait," he grumbled. "They won't miss me for one day."
Taylor raised an eyebrow. "Is that so? Because I'm pretty sure Coach Reid would disagree."
He pouted, the sight of which nearly made her cave right then and there. "Well, I could come with you instead," he suggested, his voice brightening at the thought.
She blinked at him, surprised. "To rehearsals?"
"Why not?" he said, grinning now. "I can hang out, cheer you on, maybe even give you some pointers on your choreography."
Taylor rolled her eyes, though she couldn't stop the smile that tugged at her lips. "I don't think my dancers need tips on how to tackle someone, babe."
"I can do more than just tackle, you know," he shot back, a mischievous glint in his eye. "I've got moves too."
"Oh, I'm sure you do," she teased, kissing the tip of his nose. "But are you sure you want to spend all day watching us run the same routine over and over again?"
"If it means spending time with you, absolutely," Travis said without hesitation, his expression serious now. "Besides, I've barely seen you the past few weeks with everything going on. I just want to be there for you today, Tay."
Her heart melted at that. She knew he was worried about her, about how much she'd been pushing herself despite still recovering from the surgeries. She had promised to take it easy, but the perfectionist in her didn't always allow that. And maybe, just maybe, having Travis with her today wouldn't be such a bad thing.
"Alright," she relented, pressing a soft kiss to his lips. "But you have to promise not to distract everyone too much, okay? My team has a lot to get done before the tour kicks off."
"I promise to be on my best behavior," he swore, though the twinkle in his eyes suggested otherwise.

By the time they arrived at the rehearsal studio, Taylor was already regretting her decision, but not for the reasons she'd expected. It wasn't the embarrassment of bringing her NFL superstar boyfriend to work—it was the fact that she couldn't concentrate with Travis around.
The moment they walked in, Travis was greeted with a mix of awe and amusement from her team. Some of the dancers were clearly starstruck, while others, who had seen him around before, just laughed and shook their heads. It wasn't every day that Taylor's rehearsals turned into a "bring your boyfriend to work" day.
"Travis!" one of her dancers, Natalie, exclaimed, a huge grin on her face. "Did you come to join us today? We could always use a tight end in our routine."
Travis chuckled, shooting Taylor a playful look. "I'm here for moral support—and to make sure my girl doesn't overdo it."
Taylor shot him a glare, though it lacked any real heat. "I'm fine, thank you very much."
Natalie just laughed, clearly enjoying the dynamic between the two. "Well, we're glad to have you. Just try not to distract her too much, alright?"
"No promises," Travis quipped, earning a chorus of laughs from the room.
As the day went on, Taylor found herself constantly aware of Travis's presence, his eyes following her every move. During breaks, he'd sidle up to her, wrapping an arm around her waist or stealing a kiss. And while she tried to focus on the choreography, it was impossible to ignore the warmth of his gaze or the way he'd flash her a smile that made her heart skip a beat.
At one point, during a particularly complicated routine, Taylor caught sight of Travis mimicking the dancers' moves from the sidelines, his expression one of intense concentration. She nearly lost her footing, trying to stifle a laugh as he fumbled through the steps, looking more like a clumsy giant than a professional athlete.
"You've got the moves of a tight end, alright," she called out to him, hands on her hips as she caught her breath.
"Hey, I'm just trying to keep up with you, superstar," he shot back, clearly unbothered by his lack of grace.
The rest of the crew couldn't help but laugh along, and for a moment, the tension that had been hanging over her for weeks seemed to lift. It was silly and chaotic, but it was exactly what she needed.
By the time they wrapped up for the day, Taylor was exhausted but in the best way possible. As the crew packed up and the dancers began to trickle out, she found herself once again in Travis's arms, his presence grounding her.
"Thanks for coming today," she murmured, resting her head against his chest. "Even if you did cause a few distractions."
"I'll take that as a compliment," he teased, kissing the top of her head. "But seriously, Tay, you were amazing out there. I'm so proud of you."
His words sent a warmth spreading through her, and she tilted her head up to meet his gaze. "I couldn't have done it without my number one fan cheering me on."
"I'll always be your biggest fan," Travis promised, his voice sincere. "And your biggest supporter. No matter what."
"I know, but Tree is going to kill us if she finds out." she whispered, her heart swelling with love for the man who had somehow managed to become her everything.
As they left the studio hand in hand, Taylor couldn't help but smile to herself. Maybe bring your boyfriend to work day wasn't such a bad idea after all.
