Taylor paced back and forth in her hotel room, her heart racing as she glanced at the clock. She was on a break from the Eras Tour, a much-needed pause between shows, but tonight wasn't about the stage or her music. It was about meeting someone who, for the past month and a half, had become a surprising but undeniable part of her daily life: Travis Kelce.

It all started when she had seen him on the *New Heights* podcast, lamenting how he'd wanted to give her a friendship bracelet with his number on it during her Kansas City show but never got the chance. His disappointment had been so genuine, and something about the way he talked about it made her laugh—and made her curious. She remembered how she'd called Tree, her manager, with a half-joking but completely serious request.

"Tree, I need his number."

Tree had been shocked at first but quickly made it happen. Before she knew it, Taylor found herself typing the first message, hands shaking a little as she hit send.

---

**Taylor Swift**: "Hey, heard you had a bracelet for me? ;)"

She didn't expect him to respond so quickly, but when her phone buzzed with his reply, her heart skipped a beat.

**Travis Kelce**: "Taylor Swift texting me? I must be dreaming. Yeah, I was bummed about the bracelet. Got a spare though if you're interested."

---

That one message turned into hours of conversation, and before she knew it, they were texting each other every day. Travis had an easy charm about him—nothing felt forced, nothing felt like he was trying to impress her. He was just himself, and it was... refreshing.

But now, after all the flirty banter and the countless texts, they were about to meet in person. Taylor felt a mixture of excitement and nerves. She had been on plenty of dates, but this one felt different. This one felt like something more.

The knock on her hotel door jolted her out of her thoughts. She took a deep breath and opened it to find Travis standing there, a grin spreading across his face as their eyes met.

"Hey," he said, his voice low and warm.

"Hey," she replied, her heart thumping in her chest.

Travis was even more handsome in person, tall and broad-shouldered, with a playful glint in his eyes that instantly put her at ease. He held out a small bag, and she raised an eyebrow.

"Is this the bracelet?" she teased.

He laughed, pulling out a handmade bracelet with his number woven into the beads. "Had to come prepared this time."

She took it from him, fingers brushing his. "I love it," she said softly. "Thank you."

"Wanna grab dinner?" he asked.

"Let's do it."

---

Dinner was perfect—low-key, just the two of them at a cozy, quiet restaurant. They talked about everything: his football career, her tour, and the weirdness of dating in the public eye. He made her laugh, and the conversation flowed effortlessly, as if they'd known each other for years.

As the night went on, the chemistry between them became undeniable. Taylor found herself inching closer to him, her heart racing with every smile, every touch of his hand on hers. When they left the restaurant, the cool night air hit them, and Taylor found herself unable to stop smiling.

"I had a great time tonight," she said softly as they stood outside her hotel, the city lights glowing around them.

"Me too," Travis replied, his voice just as quiet.
