Travis leaned back in his chair during the team meeting, his attention wavering between Coach's animated gestures and the text conversation lighting up his phone beneath the table. The room buzzed with the usual camaraderie of his teammates, but all he could think about was Taylor.

Tay: Can't wait for tonight. Are you sure you're going to make it?

He smirked, his heart racing with excitement. The plan was set: a secret fly-out to see her in New York City after practice. He'd been waiting all week for this moment, the thrill of being with her after being apart for too long.

Travis: Don't worry, I'll be there. Just gotta get through this meeting.

He cast a quick glance around the room, making sure no one noticed his distraction. They all thought he was single, focused only on football, but he'd learned how to keep this part of his life private. The less they knew, the better—especially when it came to dating someone as famous as Taylor Swift.

Tay: I'll be counting the minutes!

As Coach continued outlining plays, Travis felt the anticipation building in his chest. All he wanted was to be with her, to wrap her in his arms and forget about everything else. He could almost picture her waiting for him at her apartment, that radiant smile on her face as she opened the door.

The meeting finally wrapped up, and Travis dashed to his locker to grab his bag. His mind was already on the plane, eager to escape Kansas City and dive into a night filled with Taylor. Once he was free, he headed to the airport, his excitement bubbling over.

When he arrived at her apartment, he knocked softly on the door, and it swung open to reveal Taylor in a cozy oversized sweatshirt and leggings, her hair falling in soft waves around her shoulders. The sight of her made his heart leap.

"You made it!" she exclaimed, throwing her arms around him.

"Of course, I wouldn't miss this for the world," he replied, pulling her close. They shared a lingering kiss, their lips moving in perfect harmony.

"I missed you," she whispered against his mouth.

"I missed you more," he teased, his fingers tracing along her jawline. "Now, what do you say we get dinner?"

After a lovely dinner filled with laughter and stolen glances, they returned to her apartment, still buzzing from the magic of the night. Travis closed the door behind them, turning to find Taylor leaning against the counter, her eyes sparkling.

"Can you believe we're actually doing this?" she said, her excitement palpable.

"I can," he said with a grin. "But it feels surreal every time I see you."

"Let's make the most of it," she replied, stepping closer, her warmth radiating off her body.

After they settled on the couch for a few minutes, Travis noticed the way she yawned, her eyelids heavy with sleepiness. He grinned, knowing she was starting to feel the effects of their late dinner.

"Hey, how about a bath?" he suggested, standing up and offering her his hand. "You look like you could use some relaxation."

Taylor smiled, her eyes lighting up. "That sounds perfect."

He led her to the bathroom, filling the tub with warm water and adding bubbles while she found a few candles to set the mood. Once everything was ready, he turned to her, gesturing for her to step in.

"Go on, I'll wash your hair," he offered, and she nodded appreciatively, a soft smile on her lips.

As she settled into the warm water, he grabbed the shampoo and gently lathered it into her hair, his fingers massaging her scalp. Taylor sighed contentedly, leaning back against the edge of the tub, her eyes fluttering shut.

"God, that feels amazing," she murmured, her voice thick with relaxation.

"Just wait until I rinse it out," Travis teased, rinsing her hair under the faucet, his hands working carefully through her locks. He loved taking care of her like this, feeling her relax under his touch.

She turned to him, eyes half-closed. "You're the best, you know that?"

"Only because I have the best girlfriend," he shot back, a playful glint in his eye.

As he finished rinsing her hair, he could feel her cling to the edge of the tub, sleepy and content. It warmed his heart to see her so at ease. After wrapping a towel around her, he helped her out of the bath and into the cozy confines of her living room, where they curled up on the couch together.

"Do you think they'll find out?" she asked, her voice soft, resting her head on his shoulder.

"About us? Maybe," he replied, running his fingers through her damp hair. "But let's not worry about that tonight."

"Just want to be yours," she murmured, her eyes drifting shut as she nestled closer to him.

And just like that, they slipped into a peaceful sleep, the world outside forgotten.

A week later, Travis was back in Kansas City, preparing for the start of practice. He felt a mixture of excitement and anxiety, knowing that the photos from their date night had surfaced and the media was buzzing. He hoped his teammates wouldn't give him too hard of a time, but deep down, he knew he had to face the music.

As he entered the locker room, he was immediately met with curious stares and whispers. The energy in the room shifted as the guys caught sight of him, all of them eager to know the latest gossip.

"Kelce!" Patrick Mahomes shouted, waving his phone in the air. "You've got some explaining to do, buddy!"

Travis raised an eyebrow, trying to play it cool. "What's up?"

"Dude, you're dating Taylor Swift! How long have you been keeping this a secret?" Ross chimed in, barely able to contain his laughter.

"Not long enough, apparently," Travis admitted with a chuckle, leaning against his locker. "But we wanted to keep it under wraps for a bit."

The room erupted into cheers and teasing jabs, but Travis felt a wave of relief wash over him. His teammates were genuinely excited for him, despite the relentless ribbing.

"Man, I can't believe you pulled that off," Aric said, shaking his head in disbelief. "And you just casually stroll back in like nothing happened?"

"Pretty much," Travis replied, crossing his arms with a grin. "You guys didn't think I'd go back to practice after that, did you?"

"You're living the dream, man," Patrick said, nudging him. "Just remember, we want all the details. And if she writes a song about you, you better let us hear it first!"

Travis laughed, shaking his head. "You all are ridiculous."

As practice began, he couldn't shake the feeling of pride swelling in his chest. He was dating Taylor Swift, and despite the chaos that came with it, he wouldn't trade it for anything. He glanced around the field at his teammates, who were giving him good-natured grief, but all he could think about was how lucky he was to have someone like her in his life.

This was just the beginning, and he couldn't wait to see where their story would take them next.

As Travis focused on the drills, he felt more determined than ever—not just to excel on the field but to nurture the relationship he had with Taylor, regardless of the challenges ahead. Love, after all, was worth every moment of chaos.
