Jason reclined in his chair, a knowing smirk playing on his lips. It was a rare quiet evening for him and his baby brother, Travis, both enjoying the brief pause before the storm of the NFL season kicked up again. But tonight wasn't just about football or catching up on family matters—it was about *that* speech.
Taylor had announced to the world at the *Grammys* that she and Travis had gotten married when she called him her husband. Two whole years that no one, except close family, had a clue about. Jason was still reeling. Not because he didn't know they were married—he'd been there at the wedding, standing by Travis's side—but because his brother, who was notorious for being terrible at keeping secrets, had somehow managed to keep the biggest one of his life for *two years*.
And now, there was another secret in the mix. Taylor was pregnant with their first child, and they were trying to keep that quiet for as long as possible, too.
Jason cracked open a beer and took a sip, his eyes never leaving Travis. "Alright, little bro," he started, leaning forward, elbows resting on his knees. "I gotta ask. How the hell did you keep the marriage a secret for *two years*?"
Travis looked up from his phone, an innocent grin spreading across his face as if he hadn't been expecting the question. "What do you mean?" he asked, playing dumb.
Jason wasn't having it. "What do I mean? I mean, you've been married to one of the most famous women on the planet for two years, and nobody outside of us had a clue. You can't even keep what you had for breakfast a secret, but somehow, you pulled this off? I need to know how."
Travis chuckled, setting his phone down on the table beside him. "Man, you're acting like I'm some kind of mastermind or something."
Jason raised an eyebrow, his smirk deepening. "Well, yeah. You are not exactly known for your subtlety. You're the guy who posts everything on Instagram—your workouts, your dinners, even your bad hair days. And now, *now*, you're the guy who kept a secret wedding under wraps for two years. I gotta know how you did it. Did you, like, go through some sort of secret agent training or something?"
Travis leaned back, rubbing his hand through his hair, laughing. "No secret agent training. It was more about being super careful and knowing who we could trust, honestly."
Jason took another sip of his beer, eyes narrowing. "Yeah, yeah. I get all that. But I was there at the ceremony. Full-on wedding. All the family was there. How did you not slip up?"
Travis smiled, his eyes softening with the memory. "The wedding was perfect, man. You were there—you saw how low-key it was. Private estate, only family and a few friends. We knew we had to be careful. No pictures, no phones, no social media. Hell, I didn't even bring my phone with me. We kept everything on lockdown."
Jason chuckled, shaking his head in disbelief. "It still blows my mind. I remember Mom almost spilling the beans at Thanksgiving, and somehow, you managed to keep her quiet."
Travis laughed. "Yeah, that was close. I think I gave her the biggest guilt trip of her life. Told her how important it was to us to keep this private, at least until we were ready to tell the world."
Jason took another swig, leaning back in his chair. "Okay, okay. I'll give you that. You pulled off the wedding without a hitch. But now you've got a baby on the way. How are you gonna pull off keeping *that* secret?"
Travis's grin turned mischievous. "It's gonna be harder for sure, but we're trying to keep it low-key for as long as we can. Taylor's already starting to show a little, but we've been sticking to places where we know we won't be seen. Eventually, we'll announce it when it feels right."
Jason shook his head, laughing in disbelief. "Man, I still can't believe it. You, the guy who always trips over his own words, managed to keep a marriage and now a baby a secret. I mean, you've been married for two years. Two. Freaking. Years. You've gotta give me more details."
Travis smirked, as if enjoying holding back the full story. "Alright, alright. You wanna know how I proposed?"
Jason's eyes lit up. "Hell yeah, I wanna know! You're the guy who would probably trip over his own feet during a proposal. I need to know how you didn't blow it."
Travis laughed, the memory of that night clearly something he cherished. "It was the middle of her tour, right? She had just finished a show, and we were in this small little spot, private enough where no one would recognize us. I had this whole speech planned, but when it came time, I just kinda... winged it."
Jason leaned forward, intrigued. "You *winged* it? You didn't trip over your words or start babbling?"
Travis laughed, his shoulders shaking. "No, no. I kept it together. Barely. But the moment felt right. I had the ring, and I just knew. She had no idea it was coming, but when I asked, she just lit up. It was perfect."
Jason let out a low whistle, shaking his head. "I gotta say, I'm impressed. You really pulled it off. And now, two years later, you're still going strong, and no one had a clue until the *Grammys*. I still can't get over that part. She just casually drops, 'To my *husband*, Travis Kelce,' like it's no big deal. The whole world went crazy."
Travis chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. "Yeah, that was her idea. She wanted it to feel natural, like she wasn't hiding anything anymore. And man, the look on your face when she said it... priceless."
Jason laughed, nodding. "I'll admit, I wasn't expecting her to announce it like that. But hey, you guys did it your way, and it worked."
There was a brief pause before Jason leaned forward, a twinkle of mischief in his eyes. "So... what's the plan for the baby announcement? You gonna let her casually drop that at the next award show too?"
Travis grinned, shaking his head. "Nah, we're gonna keep it simple this time. Just the two of us, making the announcement when we're ready. We've got some time before the world needs to know."
Jason raised his beer in a toast. "Well, whatever you do, just make sure I get a heads up this time, alright? I can't handle another surprise like the *Grammys* announcement."
Travis clinked his beer against Jason's, smiling. "You got it, big bro. No more surprises. Well, maybe just a few."
