Kansas City was wrapped in the chill of winter on December 13th, 2024, the streets dusted with frost, and the sky an endless stretch of pale grey. But the cold didn't matter—not today. It was Taylor's birthday, yes, but more importantly, it was the day she would marry the love of her life, Travis Kelce. There was a magic in the air, one that had nothing to do with the time of year and everything to do with the love between them.

The wedding was intimate, far from the prying eyes of the paparazzi and the usual bustle of their public lives. They had chosen Kansas City for a reason—it was where Travis had made his name, a place that felt like home, and one of the few places they could be together without worrying about flashing cameras. Family and a few close friends gathered in an outdoor garden covered in twinkling lights, the bare branches of the trees weaving a delicate lacework against the winter sky.

Taylor stood just behind a curtain of sheer white draped across the small archway that led to the aisle. She glanced down at her gown—a sleeveless creation of ivory silk and lace, the fabric hugging her body before cascading in gentle waves to the ground. The dress was stunning, exactly what she had imagined, but the temperature had already started to gnaw at her. The Kansas City air was biting, and she shivered slightly, but she wouldn't let that ruin her moment. This was her wedding day, her birthday, and she wasn't going to let anything take away from how perfect it was.

From her spot, she could see Travis standing at the end of the aisle, tall and handsome in his perfectly fitted black suit. His smile lit up his entire face as he caught a glimpse of her. He looked at her like she was the only person who mattered in the world, and that made every part of the day feel just a little warmer.

The ceremony began, soft music playing as Taylor stepped out from behind the curtain, her breath forming small clouds in the air as she walked toward him. The cold vanished the moment their eyes met. Travis's gaze held hers, filled with love, pride, and something else—a kind of quiet, steady assurance. They were two people who had been through so much, and now, standing before each other, they knew this was where they were always meant to be.

The vows were heartfelt, spoken softly in front of the small crowd of people who had supported them through it all. Travis's voice was thick with emotion as he promised to love and protect her for the rest of their lives, and Taylor's voice wavered only slightly as she spoke of the man who had changed her world in the most beautiful way.

The kiss they shared when the officiant finally declared them husband and wife was slow, deep, and full of promises of forever. The crowd cheered as they pulled away, Taylor's cheeks flushed—whether from the cold or the kiss, she wasn't sure.

Later, as the evening settled in and the sky darkened to a deep indigo, the reception began in earnest. They had set up a large heated tent near the garden, golden lights flickering above their heads, casting a soft glow over the gathering. Despite the warmth inside the tent, Taylor could still feel the remnants of the cold biting at her skin. She wrapped her arms around herself, but she wasn't about to admit she was freezing. It was her day, and she wanted it to be perfect, even if she had to ignore the goosebumps on her arms.

The crowd hushed as the DJ announced the couple's first dance. Taylor's heart swelled as the opening notes of Edwin McCain's "I'll Be" filled the space. She hadn't known what song they would dance to until now—it had been Travis's choice. Her eyes brimmed with tears as she looked up at him, wondering how he always seemed to know exactly what she needed before she did.

Travis pulled her close, his arms wrapping securely around her waist. He pressed his cheek to the top of her head, and they swayed gently to the music.

"I'll be your crying shoulder,
I'll be love suicide,
I'll be better when I'm older,
I'll be the greatest fan of your life..."
