The night was warm in Vienna, and the atmosphere in the stadium was electric. Taylor  was in her element, immersed in the magic of her Eras Tour, her heart soaring as she poured herself into every song. She was halfway through her Fearless set, the crowd singing along with her to every word of "You Belong With Me." Thousands of fans, unified by their love for her music, danced, sang, and cheered under the dazzling lights.

But then, like a shattering of glass, the joy was abruptly broken.

The sound of gunfire ripped through the stadium, echoing across the expanse in a sharp, horrifying staccato. In the confusion, Taylor froze, her smile fading as she tried to understand what was happening. Fans started screaming, ducking, and running in every direction. Her mind went blank with terror as more shots rang out, each one louder and closer than the last.

She felt a sudden, sharp pain in her back, like fire spreading through her spine. Then another piercing sensation in her side. She gasped, stumbling as her body was wracked with the unbearable agony of bullets tearing through her flesh. Her vision blurred as she clutched at her side, struggling to stay upright. She felt another shot strike her leg, dropping her to her knees on the stage, her blood staining the spotlights' glow.

Her security team rushed forward, but amidst the chaos, she was struck again—two shots to her abdomen, one to her chest, another to her leg. The pain was everywhere, consuming her. She collapsed, barely aware of the frantic voices around her as her consciousness slipped further and further away. She wanted to scream, to call out for Travis, but her voice was lost, and the world faded to black.

When Taylor next opened her eyes, she was surrounded by blinding white lights and the steady beep of medical monitors. Pain surged through her body, pulling a strangled cry from her lips. Her eyes darted around, wild and unfocused, as she tried to make sense of where she was, but the pain was too intense, her senses overwhelmed.

"Travis!" she screamed, her voice raw and desperate. "Travis! Where... where is he?" Her body shook with each painful breath, and tears streamed down her face as the memories of the attack came flooding back. The sounds of gunfire, the faces of her fans as they screamed and ran, the unbearable pain as each bullet struck her.

Andrea was at her bedside, her face pale and tear-streaked as she tried to calm her daughter. She reached out, brushing Taylor's hair back from her forehead, her voice gentle but trembling. "Taylor, honey, you're safe now. You're in the hospital in Vienna. You... you were hurt, but the doctors are taking care of you. You're going to be okay."

Taylor sobbed, clutching her mother's hand as tightly as her weak, trembling fingers would allow. "I... I need Travis. Where is he? Does he know?"

Andrea's heart broke at the sight of her daughter, so vulnerable and filled with pain. She swallowed hard, her own tears barely held back, knowing she had to make a phone call that would devastate the man who loved her daughter so fiercely.
