The Eras Tour had just wrapped up its final show, and the stadium was still buzzing with the energy of thousands of fans. Taylor Swift, exhausted but exhilarated, had given everything she had on stage. Backstage, the mood was celebratory yet relaxed, with friends and family milling about, congratulating her on the tour's success.Travis leaned against the wall, arms crossed, watching the bustle with a proud smile. He was dressed casually, his Chiefs cap pulled low over his eyes, but the glint of excitement in his gaze was unmistakable. Beside him, his brother Jason and sister-in-law Kylie were chatting, their voices low as they waited for Taylor to emerge from her dressing room.
"You think she'll be much longer?" Jason asked, glancing over at Travis.
"Nah, she should be out any minute now," Travis replied, glancing at his phone to check the time.
Just as Travis pocketed his phone, the door to the dressing room opened, and out walked Taylor, her cheeks still flushed from the performance. Abigail, her childhood best friend, was right beside her, laughing about something they'd been talking about moments earlier.
Before Taylor could make it halfway across the room to where Travis and the others were waiting, a small, furry blur darted past their feet.
"Olivia!" Taylor exclaimed, her eyes widening in shock as she recognized the cat, Detective Olivia Benson, sprinting across the stadium like she was being chased. Without thinking, Taylor bolted after her cat, her laughter mingling with the urgency in her voice. "Stop, Olivia!"
Abigail, who'd also spotted the runaway feline, didn't hesitate. "I got her!" she shouted, breaking into a sprint beside Taylor. The two of them took off, weaving through the crowd, their movements almost synchronized as they tried to catch the mischievous cat.
Travis, Jason, and Kylie exchanged amused glances, not entirely surprised by the chaotic turn of events.
"Is she chasing a cat?" Jason questioned.
"Yep let's go get the other 2" Travis suggested and Kylie nodded.
"Looks like we're not going anywhere anytime soon," Kylie remarked with a grin.
Jason chuckled. "You can take the girl out of Pennsylvania, but you can't take the cat-chasing out of her."
Once they grabbed Benjamin & Meredith, Travis shook his head, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "That cat is always getting into something. Come on, let's help them out."
They followed the trail of laughter and shouts, weaving through the people still lingering backstage. Olivia Benson had led Taylor and Abigail on a wild chase, darting under tables and around chairs, her speed and agility no match for the two humans pursuing her.
"Olivia, you little troublemaker!" Taylor called out, her voice a mix of exasperation and amusement. She rounded a corner just in time to see Olivia leap onto a stack of equipment cases, perching on top as if daring them to try and catch her.
"I think she's taunting us," Abigail panted, hands on her knees as she tried to catch her breath.
Taylor was about to respond when Travis appeared, his tall frame casting a shadow over the area. "Need a hand?" he asked, eyes twinkling with amusement.
Taylor glanced at him, her expression half-grateful, half-frustrated. "Please. She's in one of her moods."
Travis took a few cautious steps towards the stack of cases, his eyes locked on Olivia, who watched him with wide, unblinking eyes. "Alright, Detective Benson," he murmured, his voice low and soothing. "Time to go back to your mom."
Jason and Kylie stood back, watching the scene unfold, ready to assist if needed. While holding the other 2.
In one smooth motion, Travis reached out and scooped Olivia into his arms. The cat let out a small, indignant meow but didn't struggle, clearly recognizing that she had been caught.
Taylor and Abigail both sighed in relief.
"Thanks, babe," Taylor said, stepping closer to take Olivia from him.
Travis held the cat out to her, smiling as he did. "No problem. But maybe we should keep a better eye on her next time?"
Taylor nodded, still slightly breathless from the chase. "Yeah, definitely."
Jason clapped his hands together, breaking the moment. "Alright, now that the cat has been apprehended, can we finally get out of here?"
Kylie laughed. "Yeah, let's go. I'm starving."
As they all made their way towards the exit, Taylor cradled Olivia in her arms, shaking her head with a fond smile. "You know, Liv, you really know how to make an exit."
Abigail laughed beside her. "I think she just wanted to get one last thrill before the night ended."
Travis wrapped an arm around Taylor's shoulders, pulling her close as they walked. "Well, she's not the only one who had a wild night."
Taylor leaned into him, feeling the warmth of his embrace. "I'm just glad I have you to keep me grounded, even if it's while chasing a cat."
"Always," Travis replied softly, pressing a kiss to the top of her head.
And with that, they stepped out into the cool night air, the chaos of the chase fading behind them as they looked forward to a quiet night together.
