**Setting:** It's 3 AM at the Stark mansion. Eight-year-old twins Charlotte and Charlie are awake, plotting their next mischievous prank. They know that their younger siblings, five-year-old Ariel and three-year-old Eric, are terrified of clowns. The twins decide to dress up as clowns and sing a spooky song to scare Ariel and Eric, who share a room.

### **Chapter 1: The Plan**
**In the twins' room, Charlotte is rummaging through a costume box, pulling out face paint and brightly colored wigs. Charlie is grinning as he looks at a pair of oversized clown shoes.**
- **Charlotte (whispering excitedly):** "Charlie, this is going to be so funny! Ariel and Eric are going to scream when they see us."
- **Charlie (chuckling):** "Yeah, they'll probably jump out of their beds! Do you remember the song?"
- **Charlotte (nodding):** "Of course! It’s called ‘Boogeyman in Your Room.’ Let’s put on the face paint and get going before they wake up."
### **Chapter 2: Getting Ready**
**The twins paint their faces with exaggerated clown makeup—red noses, big blue eyes, and wide, creepy smiles. They put on their clown wigs and costumes, then tiptoe to Ariel and Eric's room.**
- **Charlie (whispering):** "Okay, remember, we have to be really quiet until we start the song."
- **Charlotte (nodding):** "Right. We sneak in, start singing, and watch them freak out. Ready?"
- **Charlie:** "Ready."
### **Chapter 3: The Prank**
**Charlotte and Charlie creep into Ariel and Eric's darkened room, positioning themselves at the foot of their younger siblings' beds. They start singing the song “Boogeyman in Your Room” by Ima Bad Kid.**
- **Charlotte and Charlie (singing softly):**
“There’s a boogeyman, right in your room,
Hiding in the dark, bringing all the gloom.
With a painted face and a big red nose,
He’ll jump out at you when your eyes are closed!”
**Eric stirs in his bed, opening his eyes to see the clowns. His face pales, and he lets out a small whimper. Ariel wakes up next, rubbing her eyes, and then screams when she sees the clowns standing in the shadows.**
- **Eric (crying):** “No! No clowns! Mommy! Daddy!”
- **Ariel (screaming):** “Go away! Go away! I want Mommy!”
### **Chapter 4: The Twins Run and Hide**
**Hearing Ariel and Eric’s screams, Charlotte and Charlie realize they might have taken the prank too far. They quickly dart out of the room and hide under their bed, stifling their laughter.**
- **Charlotte (whispering, trying not to laugh):** "Did you see their faces? That was hilarious!"
- **Charlie (giggling):** "Yeah! I almost started laughing right there!"
**The sound of hurried footsteps is heard coming down the hallway.**
### **Chapter 5: Busted**
**MJ and Peter rush into Ariel and Eric’s room, turning on the lights. Ariel and Eric are both in tears, pointing at the doorway where Charlotte and Charlie had been standing.**
- **Ariel (crying):** “Clowns! There were clowns! Scary clowns!”
- **MJ (comforting Ariel):** “It’s okay, sweetie. There’s no clowns here. It was just a bad dream.”
- **Peter (looking around):** “Wait a minute… I bet I know exactly who those clowns were.”
**MJ nods at Peter, and they both walk down the hall to the twins’ room. Peter kneels down and looks under the bed, finding Charlotte and Charlie hiding.**
- **Peter (sighing):** “Alright, you two. Out from under there. Now.”
- **Charlotte (crawling out, looking guilty):** “It was just a joke, Daddy. We didn’t mean to scare them that much.”
- **Charlie (following Charlotte, nodding):** “Yeah, it was supposed to be funny.”
### **Chapter 6: Consequences**
**MJ and Peter lead the twins back to the living room, making them sit down. Ariel and Eric are still upset, clinging to MJ.**
- **MJ (sternly):** “You know how much your brother and sister are scared of clowns. Why would you do that?”
- **Charlotte (looking down):** “We thought it would be funny. We didn’t think they’d cry.”
- **Peter (crossing his arms):** “Pranks can be fun, but not when they hurt someone or make them scared. You’re both grounded for a week. No TV, no games, and no desserts.”
- **Charlie (pouting):** “But it was just a joke…”
- **MJ (firmly):** “Not a very nice one. You need to apologize to Ariel and Eric.”
**Charlotte and Charlie turn to Ariel and Eric, looking remorseful.**
- **Charlotte:** “We’re sorry, Ariel and Eric. We won’t scare you again.”
- **Charlie:** “Yeah, we’re really sorry.”
- **Ariel (sniffling):** “Don’t do it again…”
- **Eric (still upset):** “No clowns ever!”
### **Chapter 7: Going Back to Bed**
**After the apologies, MJ and Peter tuck Ariel and Eric back into bed, assuring them there are no more clowns. They take the twins back to their room and make them change out of the clown costumes.**
- **Peter (sighing):** “Alright, back to bed. And no more pranks tonight. Got it?”
- **Charlotte and Charlie (nodding):** “Got it.”
**The twins climb into their beds, still feeling a bit guilty about scaring their younger siblings. As MJ and Peter turn off the lights and close the door, the twins whisper to each other.**
- **Charlotte (whispering):** “Maybe we should stick to funny pranks from now on.”
- **Charlie (agreeing):** “Yeah, nothing too scary. I don’t like seeing Ariel and Eric cry.”
**The twins fall asleep, thinking about better ways to have fun without hurting anyone’s feelings.**
### **Chapter 8: The Next Morning**
**The next morning, the twins wake up, still feeling the weight of last night’s prank. At breakfast, they decide to make it up to Ariel and Eric by being extra nice, playing their favorite games, and promising to never scare them again.**
- **Charlotte (handing Ariel a toy):** “Do you want to play dolls, Ariel?”
- **Charlie (to Eric):** “I’ll help you with your cars, Eric.”
**Ariel and Eric smile, feeling better now that their big brother and sister are being kind. The morning goes on peacefully, with the family enjoying their time together.**
---
**This story shows the importance of understanding the impact of our actions on others, even when we think we’re just having fun. The twins learn that pranks can be hurtful and decide to be more considerate in the future.**
