Chapter 1: The Fight Begins
It was another day at Superhero School, and Charlotte and Polly were already feeling the tension between them and two other students, McKinnlee Anderson and McKinzlee Andrew. Both pairs had been rivals for weeks, each trying to outdo the other in both powers training and classroom achievements. Today, things boiled over.
During lunch, Charlotte and Polly noticed McKinnlee and McKinzlee sitting at their usual spot, laughing and whispering to each other. Polly, fed up with their smug attitudes, whispered to Charlotte, “They think they’re better than us. Let’s show them who really runs this school.”
Charlotte smirked, nodding in agreement. Without hesitation, they approached the two girls.
“What’s so funny? You talking about us?” Charlotte snapped, her voice filled with challenge.
McKinnlee stood up, rolling her eyes. “Maybe we are. What’s it to you, Stark?”
McKinzlee chimed in, “Yeah, you think you’re tough just because your dad is Spider-Man? We can take you anytime.”
Polly clenched her fists, stepping closer. “Oh, you wanna go? Let’s see how tough you really are!”
Chapter 2: The Fight Escalates
Without warning, the four girls lunged at each other. Charlotte and McKinnlee grabbed each other’s shirts, while Polly and McKinzlee were pulling hair and yelling insults. The cafeteria erupted in chaos as students gathered around, cheering and shouting.
“Stop!” a teacher yelled, but the girls were too caught up in their fight to care. Punches were thrown, and insults flew. Charlotte managed to trip McKinnlee, but before she could feel victorious, McKinzlee tackled Polly, sending them both to the floor.
As the fight grew louder, more teachers rushed into the cafeteria. It wasn’t long before Black Widow and Hawkeye appeared, pulling the girls apart.
“What is going on here?” Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow) demanded, her voice filled with authority as she separated Charlotte and McKinnlee.
Clint Barton (Hawkeye) had Polly and McKinzlee in each hand. “You four are in big trouble.”
Chapter 3: The Escape Attempt
As they were being dragged out of the cafeteria, Charlotte’s mind raced. She knew she couldn’t let this escalate any further—especially with her mom and dad finding out. If they did, it wouldn’t just be grounding; she could kiss her freedom goodbye for the next month.
In a moment of panic, Charlotte broke free from Natasha’s grip and bolted down the hallway. “I’m outta here!” she yelled.
“Charlotte!” Natasha shouted after her, but the young Stark was already making her escape, running as fast as she could down the hallways of the school.
Polly, however, wasn’t as lucky. She was caught by Clint and dragged off with the other two girls to the principal’s office.
Chapter 4: Consequences with the Starks
Charlotte didn’t make it far before she was picked up by her mom, MJ, who had been called by the school.
MJ pulled up in the family car just as Charlotte reached the parking lot. “Get in the car, now,” MJ said, her voice calm but firm.
Knowing she was caught, Charlotte sulked into the car without protest. MJ didn’t say much as they drove home, but the tension in the air was thick. When they pulled up to the house, Peter was waiting at the door, arms crossed.
“Care to explain what happened today?” Peter asked, his voice low but clearly upset.
Charlotte looked down, knowing she was in deep trouble. “There was a fight... it just happened. They started it!”
MJ shook her head. “You know better than to let it get that far, Charlotte. Running away didn’t help your case either.”
Peter stepped forward, his expression stern. “You’re grounded for the next two weeks. No phone, no hanging out with Polly, and definitely no superhero training.”
“But Dad, it wasn’t all my fault!” Charlotte protested, trying to plead her case.
“No excuses,” Peter said firmly. “You’re grounded. End of discussion.”
Chapter 5: Grounded
Later that evening, Charlotte sat in her room, staring at the wall, feeling the weight of her punishment. She could hear Polly’s mom, Wanda Maximoff, talking to Polly on the phone next door, likely delivering the same punishment.
Charlotte sighed, realizing that her impulsive decisions had led her here. Grounded for two weeks was going to be brutal, but she knew better than to test her parents any further. Maybe next time, she would think twice before getting into another fight—or at least be smart enough not to run away.
As she lay on her bed, staring at the ceiling, she wondered what Polly was thinking and if her best friend was regretting the day’s events just as much as she was.
