**Setting:** The story takes place at the Stark mansion, where it is 3 a.m. All is quiet except for the twins, Charlotte and Charlie, who have planned a prank to scare their younger siblings, Ariel and Eric. Knowing that Ariel and Eric are afraid of clowns, the twins decide to dress up as clowns and sing a creepy song to frighten them.

### **Chapter 1: The Twins' Plan**

**Charlotte and Charlie are in their shared room, giggling softly as they put on clown costumes they found in the attic. Charlotte paints her face with bright red makeup, and Charlie wears a creepy clown mask. They both look at each other, their faces alight with mischief.**

- **Charlotte (whispering):** "This is gonna be so funny! Ariel and Eric are gonna be so scared!"

- **Charlie (snickering):** "Yeah! Let’s sing that ‘Boogety Boo’ song by Ima Bad Kid. It’ll freak them out for sure!"

- **Charlotte (nodding excitedly):** "Okay, let’s go!"

### **Chapter 2: Sneaking into Ariel and Eric’s Room**

**The twins tiptoe down the hallway to Ariel and Eric’s room, careful not to make a sound. They push open the door just enough to slip inside. The room is dimly lit by a nightlight shaped like a moon. Ariel and Eric are sound asleep in their beds. The twins position themselves at the foot of each bed, wearing their clown costumes.**

- **Charlie (in a creepy sing-song voice):** “Boogety boo, it’s your brother and sister,
We’re here in the night, gonna give you a blister.
Creepin’ through shadows, sneakin’ in tight,
We’ll jump out and scare you, give you a fright!”

- **Charlotte (joining in, waving her hands like claws):** “Boogety boo, we’re dressed up as clowns,
Better wake up or we’ll turn things around.
We’ll tickle your feet and poke at your sides,
Don’t try to hide, ‘cause we’ll find where you hide!”

### **Chapter 3: Ariel and Eric Wake Up**

**Ariel and Eric stir in their beds, rubbing their eyes as they slowly wake up. As their eyes focus, they see the clown figures looming over them, singing the eerie song. Ariel’s eyes widen with fear, and Eric starts to whimper.**

- **Ariel (scared, clutching her blanket):** “Charlie? Charlotte? Is that you?”

- **Eric (crying softly):** “I don’t like clowns… go away…”

- **Charlie (still in character, deepening his voice):** “We’re not your brother and sister… We’re the clowns from your nightmares!”

- **Charlotte (laughing evilly):** “We’ve come to get you, Ariel and Eric!”

### **Chapter 4: The Twins Run and Hide**

**As Ariel starts to cry loudly, and Eric joins in with louder wails, the twins realize they might have taken the prank too far. Fearing they’ll get caught, Charlotte and Charlie bolt from the room, running down the hallway. They dash back to their own room and hide under their bed, still in their clown costumes, trying to stifle their giggles.**

- **Charlie (whispering under the bed):** “That was so scary! Did you see Eric’s face?”

- **Charlotte (giggling):** “Yeah! But we should hide until they calm down. We don’t want to get in trouble.”

### **Chapter 5: MJ and Peter Hear the Crying**

**Down the hall, MJ and Peter, who are sleeping in their bedroom, hear the cries of Ariel and Eric. MJ wakes up first, nudging Peter awake.**

- **MJ (groggy but alert):** “Peter, wake up. I hear the kids crying.”

- **Peter (sitting up, concerned):** “What’s going on? It’s 3 a.m.!”

**They both get out of bed quickly and head to Ariel and Eric’s room. When they enter, they see Ariel and Eric crying, pointing towards the door.**

- **Ariel (sobbing):** “Clowns! Clowns in our room!”

- **Eric (crying):** “Charlie and Charlotte… They’re clowns! They scared us!”

### **Chapter 6: The Search for the Twins**

**MJ and Peter exchange a knowing look, understanding who the culprits are. They head down the hallway to the twins' room. MJ opens the door and finds it empty. Peter looks under the bed and finds Charlotte and Charlie hiding, still wearing their clown costumes.**

- **Peter (crossing his arms, sternly):** “What are you two doing under there?”

- **Charlotte (guilty, crawling out):** “We were just playing a game…”

- **Charlie (also crawling out, looking down):** “It was just a prank…”

- **MJ (trying to stay calm):** “You know your brother and sister are scared of clowns. Why would you do that?”

- **Charlotte (mumbling):** “We thought it’d be funny…”

- **Peter (sighing):** “Well, it wasn’t. You’ve really scared them. Come on, you two, let’s go apologize.”

### **Chapter 7: Apologies and Consequences**

**Peter and MJ walk the twins back to Ariel and Eric’s room, where Ariel and Eric are still sniffling. The twins look ashamed as they approach their younger siblings.**

- **Charlie (softly):** “We’re sorry, Ariel. Sorry, Eric. We didn’t mean to scare you that bad.”

- **Charlotte (nodding):** “Yeah, we’re sorry. We won’t do it again.”

- **Ariel (still sniffling but calming down):** “Promise?”

- **Charlotte and Charlie (in unison):** “Promise.”

### **Chapter 8: Bedtime Again**

**After a round of hugs and reassurances, Peter and MJ tuck Ariel and Eric back into bed, making sure they’re comfortable and not scared anymore.**

- **MJ (to the twins as they leave the room):** “Alright, back to bed. No more pranks, and no more clown costumes.”

- **Peter (sternly):** “And we’ll talk about this in the morning. You’re not getting off that easily.”

- **Charlotte (whispering to Charlie as they walk back to their room):** “Guess we’re grounded…”

- **Charlie (shrugging):** “Yeah, but it was kinda fun, right?”

**They climb back into their beds, trying not to giggle too loudly. They know they’re in trouble, but they also know they’re still partners in mischief, no matter what.**
