Chapter 1: The Setup
It was a lazy afternoon at the Stark mansion. In one part of the house, 6-year-old Areilella (aka Areil) and 4-year-old Eric were playing happily with their parents, MJ and Peter Stark, in their shared room. Meanwhile, upstairs in the twins' shared room, 9-year-olds Charlotte and Charlie were up to something different.
“Wanna play some music?” Charlie asked, a mischievous grin forming on his face.
“Yeah, let’s do it!” Charlotte said, already scrolling through her playlist. “How about ‘Apex Party’ by Ima Bad Kid and Ima Bad Sass Girl?”
“Perfect,” Charlie agreed, pulling up the volume on the speakers.
Chapter 2: Apex Party
As the music blared through the speakers, Charlotte and Charlie began dancing wildly around the room, singing along to the rebellious lyrics:
Charlotte yelled, “We’re the baddest kids on the block, time to rock! Turn up the volume, don’t let it stop!”
Charlie followed, “Party all night, we don’t care, hands in the air, don’t you dare stop and stare!”
They laughed and jumped on their beds, not caring how loud they were being.
“Hey, let’s make our own version of that ABCDEFU song,” Charlotte suggested, her eyes twinkling with mischief.
Chapter 3: ABCDEFU Version
Charlie smirked. “Yeah, but let’s make it about school and stuff.”
Charlotte nodded and started singing:
“ABCDEFU, and your dumb homework too, And the teacher that yelled, and the tests that never end, I hate the rules and the books, and the stupid school looks—”
Charlie chimed in:
“And your notes and your tests and your friends that all stress, Yeah, forget it all, we’re free, can't you see?”
They both laughed, proud of their new anthem, unaware that the walls were thin and the sound carried right to their parents’ ears.
Chapter 4: MJ and Peter Hear Everything
In the room next door, MJ and Peter had been enjoying playtime with Areil and Eric, but they couldn’t help but overhear the loud music and the inappropriate lyrics being sung by their older twins.
Peter raised an eyebrow at MJ. “Is that our kids singing about how much they hate school?”
MJ chuckled, but there was a hint of disbelief in her voice. “Oh yeah, that’s them. And they’re making their own version of a breakup song.”
Areil looked up innocently, “What are Charlotte and Charlie doing?”
Peter grinned at MJ. “Time to show them who’s boss.”
Chapter 5: The Plan to Scare Them
Peter and MJ exchanged a knowing look, deciding they’d have a little fun with their rebellious kids.
Peter whispered to MJ, “Let’s sneak up on them. I think they need a little reminder about respecting boundaries—and volume levels.”
MJ smirked. “I’m in.”
Chapter 6: The Catch
Upstairs, Charlotte and Charlie were still having the time of their lives, singing at the top of their lungs and dancing like they were the stars of their own concert.
“ABCDEFU! We don’t care what you do!” Charlotte sang, pretending to hold a microphone.
Just as they were about to launch into another verse, the door to their room burst open, and standing there were MJ and Peter, arms crossed and very unimpressed.
The twins froze mid-dance.
“Oh… uh… hi, Mom, Dad,” Charlotte stammered.
“We were… just messing around,” Charlie added quickly, dropping the pretend microphone.
Chapter 7: The Aftermath
Peter narrowed his eyes playfully. “Messing around, huh? So you think it’s cool to make up cuss words and sing about how much you hate school?”
MJ, trying to keep a straight face, added, “And at full volume? Really?”
The twins exchanged a nervous glance. “We didn’t think you’d hear it…” Charlotte muttered.
“Well, we did,” Peter said, moving closer. “And now you’re both grounded.”
“But—” Charlie began, only to be cut off by MJ.
“No ‘buts.’ You’re both in trouble for being disrespectful and for playing that loud music when your brother and sister were trying to have a peaceful afternoon,” MJ said sternly.
Chapter 8: The Scare
As the twins sulked, Peter suddenly took a step forward and yelled dramatically, “BOO!”
Charlotte and Charlie both jumped in surprise, their eyes wide with shock.
“See?” Peter grinned. “That’s what you get when you try to act all tough. We’re still in charge, and we can hear everything.”
MJ laughed, shaking her head. “Next time, keep the party to a reasonable level and cut out the disrespectful lyrics.”
The twins couldn’t help but laugh a little, even though they knew they were still in trouble.
Chapter 9: Grounded
Later that evening, Charlotte and Charlie sat in their room, grounded and without their phones or music.
“This sucks,” Charlotte grumbled.
Charlie shrugged. “Yeah, but at least Dad didn’t throw up like he did with Ezaih.”
Charlotte laughed at that. “True. But next time, let’s stick to music Mom and Dad won’t freak out over.”
“Deal,” Charlie agreed, rolling his eyes.
