Song Parody: "Mom's the Problem" (Parody of "Not My Problem" by Laila)

Nicola, Charlotte, Charlie, Tristan, Parker, Karma, Eddie, Winston, and Matthew start the parody:

Nicola:
"Mom's always telling us what to do,
Pick up your toys, or I'm coming for you!"

Charlotte:
"Clean up the room, don’t make a mess,
Why can't she just chill, take a rest?"

Charlie:
"Why so strict, why so mean?
I just wanna watch my TV screen!"

Tristan (with help from Parker):
"Nap time's boring, snacks are too small,
Why does she always make the rules for all?"

Karma:
"She says 'no candy, it's bad for you,'
But guess what, Mom? I still chew!"

Eddie:
"She says 'brush your teeth, make 'em shine,'
I say 'Mom, they’re just fine!'"

Winston:
"She says 'time for bed, go to sleep,'
But all I wanna do is jump and leap!"

Matthew:
"Mom says 'listen up,' but I’m having fun,
Why does she have to spoil the run?"

All Kids (Chorus):
"Mom’s the problem, not me!
We just wanna be wild and free!
She’s always nagging, can't she see,
That mom's the problem, not me!"

Chapter 1: The Kids Get Caught

As the kids sing louder, their parents in the living room start to notice. Amy, overhearing, frowns and looks over at James (Rhodey).

Amy:
"What are they singing about?"

James (laughing):
"I think we just got called 'the problem.'"

Cristina (Sam Strange’s wife, also overhearing):
"They’re definitely not wrong! The 'mom' life can be tough."

Amy:
"Let's see what this is all about."

They head toward the room where the kids are singing, peeking through the door as they continue their defiant tune.

Chapter 2: The Parents Confront the Kids

Amy (arms crossed, amused):
"Excuse me, I heard someone say 'mom's the problem'? Care to explain that?"

The kids freeze mid-song, looking caught.

Charlotte (nervous laugh):
"Uh... it’s just a song, Aunt Amy!"

Charlie (trying to save the situation):
"Yeah, we were just joking... right, guys?"

Nicola (boldly):
"Well, you do make us clean up a lot."

James (grinning):
"That’s because you guys make the mess!"

Amy (raising an eyebrow):
"So, we're the problem, huh?"

Tristan (innocently):
"Mom said no candy today..."

Amy (laughing):
"And that makes me the bad guy?"

Winston (whispering to Eddie):
"I knew we were gonna get caught."

Eddie (whispering back):
"Shhh! Maybe we’ll get off easy!"

Chapter 3: The Parents' Response

Cristina (laughing, talking to Amy):
"You know, they’re not totally wrong. We do have to be the rule-makers around here."

Amy (nodding):
"True, but if we didn’t, this house would fall apart!"

James (playfully):
"Alright, songwriters. If we’re the problem, what’s the solution?"

Nicola (thinking fast):
"Uh... more playtime?"

Karma (giggling):
"And more candy!"

Amy (shaking her head with a smile):
"Nice try, but you're still going to clean up your toys. And maybe less candy isn't such a bad thing."

James:
"How about we strike a deal? You clean up, and we’ll have a game night later."

Charlie (grinning):
"Deal!"

Charlotte (relieved):
"We thought we were in big trouble!"

Amy:
"Well, you're not off the hook just yet! Maybe we’ll have to write our own song... about why kids are the problem!"

All Kids (laughing):
"Hey! That's not fair!"

James (smiling):
"Alright, alright, enough with the songs. Let’s get to cleaning up before we turn into a musical."

The kids groan but begin cleaning up, while the parents look on, laughing about the unexpected musical moment in the house.
