Chapter 1: The Plan is Hatched
It was a typical evening at the Stark mansion. MJ had just finished cooking dinner, and the Stark kids—Charlie, Charlotte, Ariel, and Eric—weren’t thrilled with what was on their plates.
Charlie poked at his food with his fork. “Mom’s cooking is getting worse every day.”
Charlotte giggled. “I know, right? We should make a diss track about it.”
Ariel, always eager to follow her older siblings, clapped her hands. “Yeah! A song!”
Eric, the youngest, joined in. “Yeah! A song about gross food!”
Chapter 2: Writing the Diss Track
The kids quickly gathered in their shared playroom, turning off their tablets and pulling out an old notebook. Charlie, being the ringleader, grabbed a pen and started writing the lyrics.
Charlie: "Mom’s cooking, it’s a disaster! Wish we could eat faster."
Charlotte added in: "The veggies are mush, the meat is too tough, can’t she see we’ve had enough?"
Ariel chimed in with her own verse: "Mac and cheese is supposed to be fun, but hers is sticky like glue—it’s done!"
Eric, though younger, added his line with a big grin: "I’d rather eat dirt than this yucky dessert!"
They all laughed as Charlie beatboxed the rhythm, and the rest of them joined in with exaggerated dance moves.
Chapter 3: Recording the Track
Charlie decided they needed to record the song to make it official. He grabbed his tablet, opened the voice recorder, and hit record.
Charlie: "Alright, we gotta make this sound good. On three—one, two, three!"
The kids began rapping and singing their diss track, laughing uncontrollably between verses:
Charlotte: "Mom, I love you but your cooking’s a mess, spaghetti’s like noodles in a stringy dress."
Ariel, grinning widely: "Mom’s cupcakes are hard like rocks, I’m hiding them in my socks!"
Eric joined in with his usual excitement: "Yucky food, yucky food, we don’t want this in our neighborhood!"
Charlie kept the beat going with his hands slapping against the desk, feeling like a real music producer.
Chapter 4: The Moment They Get Caught
As the kids were finishing up their song, laughing and replaying the recording, they didn’t notice that MJ had been standing at the doorway. She had heard the entire diss track and wasn’t amused.
MJ crossed her arms. “What exactly is going on here?”
All four of the Stark kids froze. Eric dropped the tablet. Charlie, always the quick thinker, tried to hide it behind his back, but it was too late.
Charlotte stammered, “Uh, nothing, Mom…”
Ariel looked down at her feet, feeling guilty. “We were… just… playing.”
MJ raised an eyebrow. “Really? Because it sounded like you were making fun of my cooking.”
Chapter 5: The Consequences
Before the kids could answer, Peter walked into the room, curious about the commotion. “What’s going on here?”
MJ turned to Peter. “Your children decided to make a diss track about my cooking.”
Peter looked at the kids, who were now nervously fidgeting. “A diss track? On your mom’s cooking?”
Charlie spoke up, trying to save face. “We didn’t mean it… it was just for fun.”
Peter crossed his arms, looking at each of them in turn. “Fun or not, that was incredibly disrespectful. You all know better.”
Charlotte nodded slowly. “We’re sorry, Mom.”
Ariel piped up, “We didn’t mean to hurt your feelings.”
Eric, still not fully understanding, simply added, “Sorry, Mommy.”
Chapter 6: Grounded
Peter looked at MJ, who gave him a nod. “Alright, here’s what’s going to happen. You’re all grounded. No tablets, no TV, no playing outside until we say otherwise.”
Charlie groaned. “But Dad—”
Peter shook his head firmly. “No buts. This was rude, and you need to learn that words have consequences.”
Charlotte sighed. “We won’t do it again, I promise.”
Ariel nodded along, still looking sad. “I won’t make fun of your cooking, Mom.”
MJ softened a little, kneeling down to look at them. “I know you didn’t mean to be mean, but you still hurt my feelings. Next time, if you don’t like something, you can tell me politely.”
Chapter 7: Reflecting on Their Actions
Later that evening, the kids sat in their room, grounded and without their usual entertainment. Charlie stared at the ceiling. “Man, I didn’t think we’d get in this much trouble.”
Charlotte sighed. “Yeah, it was just supposed to be a joke.”
Ariel leaned against her pillow, feeling guilty. “We should apologize again to Mom.”
Eric, with a pout on his face, nodded. “I don’t want to be in trouble anymore.”
Chapter 8: Apologies and Understanding
The next day, the kids found MJ in the kitchen, making breakfast. They hesitated for a moment, but Charlie stepped forward. “Mom, we’re really sorry. We didn’t mean to hurt your feelings.”
MJ smiled softly at them. “I know, and I appreciate your apology. Just remember, it’s important to be kind—even when you’re joking.”
Charlotte hugged her mom. “We’ll be better, Mom.”
Ariel and Eric joined in the hug, and MJ kissed the tops of their heads. “That’s all I ask.”
With that, the Stark kids had learned their lesson—one they wouldn’t forget anytime soon.
