Chapter 1: The Confrontation
At Superhero School, it was just another day filled with excitement and lessons, but Charlotte and Polly were feeling feisty. During lunch, they overheard McKinnlee Anderson and McKinzlee Andrew gossiping at the next table. The pair was whispering and pointing, clearly talking about them. Charlotte ignored it at first, but then she heard McKinzlee’s voice rise just loud enough for her to catch.
“Charlotte can’t fight, and she’s a dumb rod,” McKinzlee said, laughing.
Charlotte’s eyes narrowed, and Polly immediately glared at the two girls. “Excuse me?” Polly said, standing up from their lunch table.
Charlotte got to her feet, fists clenched. “What did you just say?”
McKinzlee smirked, unbothered. “You heard me. You act all tough, but you’re nothing. You can’t even throw a punch.”
McKinnlee added, “Yeah, you think you’re all that, but you’re just full of it.”
Chapter 2: The Fight
Charlotte’s temper flared instantly. “Oh, I can fight, alright. Want me to show you?”
Polly backed her up, crossing her arms. “You’re about to regret saying that.”
McKinzlee laughed, “Bring it on, dumb rod.”
Without thinking, Charlotte lunged at McKinzlee, pushing her hard. Polly followed, shoving McKinnlee, and soon all four girls were in a full-blown fight—pushing, pulling hair, and throwing punches.
The lunchroom erupted in chaos as students gathered to watch the brawl. Teachers rushed over, trying to break it up, but the girls were too caught up in their anger to stop. Finally, Black Widow and Hawkeye managed to pull the girls apart.
“Enough!” Natasha shouted, yanking Charlotte away from McKinzlee. “What is going on here?”
“They started it!” Polly yelled, pointing at the two girls.
McKinzlee smirked. “No, we didn’t! Charlotte just can’t handle the truth.”
Clint Barton shook his head. “This is ridiculous. You all know fighting isn’t tolerated here. You’re all going to the office.”
Chapter 3: The Escape
As the teachers led the girls toward the principal’s office, Charlotte’s mind raced. She knew her case managers, Samuel and T’Challa, wouldn’t be happy, and the thought of facing them scared her. She glanced at Polly, who gave her a knowing look.
“I’m not sticking around for this,” Charlotte whispered to Polly.
Before Natasha or Clint could react, Charlotte bolted down the hallway, sprinting away from the scene. Polly looked like she wanted to follow, but hesitated.
“Charlotte, stop!” Natasha yelled, but Charlotte didn’t look back. She kept running, trying to escape the inevitable consequences.
Chapter 4: Caught by Mom and Dad
Unfortunately for Charlotte, her escape didn’t last long. After being caught on camera running out of the school, her parents, MJ and Peter Stark, were immediately contacted. They were already on their way to the school when Natasha called to inform them about the fight.
When Charlotte finally made it out of the school, thinking she’d escaped the worst of it, she saw her parents waiting for her in the parking lot.
“Get in the car,” MJ said sharply, her arms crossed, her face a mix of disappointment and frustration.
Charlotte froze. “Mom, I—”
“Now,” Peter added, his voice stern. “We already know what happened.”
Charlotte’s shoulders slumped as she walked toward the car, knowing there was no way out of this now.
Chapter 5: Grounded
Back at the Stark mansion, the atmosphere was tense. MJ sat Charlotte down on the couch while Peter paced back and forth, clearly trying to control his anger.
“You ran away from school after getting into a fight,” Peter said, his voice tight with frustration. “Do you realize how serious this is?”
Charlotte kept her head down, avoiding eye contact. “They were talking trash about me. I couldn’t let them get away with it.”
MJ shook her head. “There’s no excuse for fighting, Charlotte. You know better than that. And running away? What were you thinking?”
Charlotte fidgeted, her rebellious attitude fading. “I wasn’t thinking, I guess.”
Peter sighed heavily. “You’re grounded for the rest of the month. No friends, no games, no devices.”
“But Dad—”
“No ‘buts,’ Charlotte,” MJ cut in. “You need to learn that actions have consequences. This isn’t the first time you’ve gotten into trouble at school, and it needs to stop.”
Charlotte nodded, knowing that arguing wouldn’t get her anywhere. As much as she hated being grounded, she knew she had crossed the line. She just hoped Polly didn’t get into as much trouble.
As the day ended, Charlotte sat in her room, staring at the ceiling, dreading the long weeks of punishment ahead.
