Chapter 1: The Taunt
It was a typical afternoon at Superhero School, and Charlotte Stark was walking hand-in-hand with her boyfriend, Ezaih Woods, through the hallways. Everything seemed normal until McKinzlee Anderson and McKinnlee Andrew approached with smug looks on their faces.
McKinzlee crossed her arms, a sneer on her lips. “Hey, Charlotte, I heard you can’t even fight. What kind of hero can’t defend herself?”
McKinnlee added, “And honestly, you’re not even a good girlfriend to Ezaih. I don’t know why he’s with someone like you.”
Charlotte’s face turned red with anger, her fists clenching at her sides. She could feel the insults burning in her chest, especially the one about being a bad girlfriend. That was too far.
Ezaih, always the calm one, tried to pull her away. “Let it go, Charlotte. They’re not worth it.”
But Charlotte wasn’t in the mood to back down. “Take that back!” she snapped, stepping forward. “You don’t know anything about me or about Ezaih!”
McKinzlee just laughed. “Oh, I hit a nerve, didn’t I? It’s just the truth, Charlotte. You’re a joke.”
Chapter 2: The Fight Breaks Out
The next moment happened so fast that Ezaih didn’t have time to stop it. Charlotte lunged at McKinzlee, her anger boiling over. She grabbed McKinzlee by the arm and bit down, hard enough to draw blood. McKinzlee screamed, stumbling back, holding her arm. “You psycho!”
Ezaih tried to pull Charlotte back, but the fight had already started. McKinnlee shoved Charlotte, causing her to lose balance. “That’s what you get for running your mouth,” McKinnlee hissed.
Ezaih stepped in front of Charlotte, ready to defend her, but before he could do anything, Charlotte had already launched herself back into the fray. The hall was filled with students cheering and yelling, phones out recording the chaos.
Ezaih turned to McKinzlee. “Leave her alone,” he said sternly, but it was no use. Polly, Charlotte’s friend, arrived and began chanting, “Fight! Fight! Fight!” which only egged on the crowd.
Just when it seemed like things couldn’t get worse, the school alarms went off, and faculty members, including their case managers, Samuel Strange (Polly’s older brother, aka Nova) and T’Challa Woods (Ezaih’s father, aka Black Panther), arrived on the scene.
Chapter 3: Caught in the Act
Samuel’s booming voice echoed down the hallway. “What’s going on here?!”
T’Challa stepped forward, his face hard as stone. “Everyone, enough. This ends now.”
Charlotte, realizing what was about to happen, panicked. She knew she was in deep trouble, and the only thing she could think of was to run. Without a second thought, she bolted down the hallway, her heart pounding in her chest.
“Charlotte!” Ezaih shouted after her, but she was already gone, sprinting out of the school doors.
Chapter 4: Running Away
Charlotte ran through the school grounds, her adrenaline pumping. She didn’t know where she was going, but she just needed to get away. Her mind was racing with fear and regret, knowing full well what was coming when her parents found out.
As she made it to the edge of the school campus, her luck ran out. Waiting for her in the parking lot was none other than her mom, MJ, leaning against the family car with her arms crossed, looking both worried and furious. Peter Stark was standing beside her, shaking his head in disappointment.
“Charlotte Bella Marie Stark,” MJ said slowly, her voice calm but dangerous. “What on Earth have you done?”
Charlotte froze, her heart sinking. She had nowhere to run now.
Chapter 5: Consequences at Home
Back at the Stark mansion, Charlotte sat on the couch, her parents standing in front of her, looking down with stern expressions. Peter’s voice was firm, leaving no room for argument. “You got into a fight at school, you bit someone, and you ran off? This is unacceptable, Charlotte.”
MJ chimed in, her disappointment clear. “You’re better than this. Fighting? Running away from your problems? You know there are consequences for actions like these.”
Charlotte looked down at her hands, feeling the weight of her actions settle on her shoulders. “I… I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to… it just happened.”
Peter sighed, rubbing his temples. “You’re grounded. No friends, no phone, no going out. You’ll go to school and come home, and that’s it.”
MJ nodded in agreement. “And you’re going to apologize to the people you hurt, starting with McKinzlee and McKinnlee.”
Charlotte didn’t argue, knowing she had no choice. “I understand,” she said quietly.
As the night went on, Charlotte sat in her room, grounded and reflecting on how one moment of anger had led to such serious consequences. She knew she had to be more careful in the future, both with her temper and with the people she allowed to get under her skin.
