Jhoana's POV

I left the hospital early since I didn’t have many patients, and Ate Ella said she and the others would cover for me. I decided to head back to Batangas. I didn’t let Bea leave because I needed her to wait for me, but we were still arguing, hehe. I wanted to get my car because it was a hassle only having hers here.

Flashback...

"Alam niyo, kayong dalawa, wala 'yan. Hindi hickey 'yan. Paano naman ako magkakahickey?" I explained, but Ate Ella was about to respond when the door opened again.

"Baby, naiwan mo," Bea said, holding my shoulder bag. Patay. I saw Jia and Ate Ella exchange glances.

"Hi, Bea/Hi, Bei," Ate Ella and Jia said at the same time, surprising Bea with their presence.

"Ah, Jia, labas muna tayo. Tara. Jho, you owe us an explanation," Ate Ella said as we quickly left the room together.

"I'm sorry, wala kasi 'yung secretary mo doon kaya pumasok na ako, like before," Bea said. I glared at her and sat down in my swivel chair as she approached me.

"May kasalanan ba ako?" she asked, so I looked at her.

"Oo, bwisit ka! Alam mong magdu-duty ako, nilagyan mo pa ako ng hickey. Nilagyan ko na 'yan ng foundation pero nahalata pa rin ni Ate Ella," I said as she scratched her head. I continued to ignore her.

There was a knock on the door, and it was Jema.

"Doc, nandiyan na po 'yung isang patient mo. Ah, good morning po, Ms. Bea," Jema said, looking at me.

"Ah, sige. In 5 minutes, papasukin mo na. Thanks, Jema," I said.

"Sige po, Doc. No problem," she replied and left.

"Hintayin mo na lang ako sa labas. May 4 patients lang naman na may appointment sa'kin. Sabihan ko na lang sila Ate Ella na aalis ako after the appointments."

"But—"

"Mamaya na tayo mag-usap, nandiyan na 'yung patient ko." But instead of leaving, she hugged me tightly.

"Wag ka nang magalit, please. Bati na tayo."

"Isa pa, Beatriz. Lumabas ka na. Mamaya na tayo mag-usap," I said. She smiled mischievously and suddenly kissed me.

"Manyak ka. Lumabas ka na, mamaya na tayo mag-usap," I said, but she just grinned.

"Oo na po, ito na. I love you," she said as she released me from her backhug and finally left, still grinning. I rolled my eyes at her.

After an hour and 30 minutes, I was done. Bea hadn't messaged me, so I let her wait. After organizing my things, I went out and headed to Jema.

"Jema, asan sila Doc Ella?" I asked. Yes, I know they're broken up, but their situation is confusing. I don't even know if it's Doc Deanna or Doc Ella. Bahala sila, malalaki na sila.

"Ah, Doc, they're probably doing rounds, pati si Doc Jia," Jema replied.

"Ah, okay. Pakisabi na lang na nauna na ako. Thank you," I said.

"Sige po, Doc. Ingat po. Mukhang nagkabalikan na kayo ni Ms. Bea," she said. I didn't respond and just left.

End of Flashback...

"Baby, love, babe, honey, Jhoana Louise ko, sorry na," Bea kept apologizing about the hickey while she was driving.

"Tss, tigilan mo nga. Mag-drive ka na lang diyan, Beatriz."

"Sorry na, promise, next time hindi na sa neck," she said.

"Aww, ang sweet mo talaga," I replied sarcastically, slapping her arm. Aba't, she’s even planning for a next time!

"Mag-drive ka na diyan, Beatriz. Baka hindi na tayo makauwi ng Batangas," I said.

"Eh, why do you need to go to Batangas?" she asked.

"Kukunin ko 'yung kotse ko para hindi ko naiiwan 'yung shoulder bag ko sa kotse mo," I said. She suddenly pulled over to the side of the road.

"E bakit naman? Ate Ella and Jia lang naman ang nakakita. Sayang nga, hindi nakita ng mga umaaligid sa'yo. Pag nakita nila 'yan, alam na nila na wala na silang pag-asa sa'yo," she said.

"Arayy, Jho! Ang sakit," she complained after I pinched her.

"Ikaw talaga, 'yung mga iniisip mo. Sarap mong tirisin," I teased.

"Wag, hehe. Gusto ko pa i-grant 'yung wish ni Tito John sa'kin," she said, smiling widely. She started driving again and took my hand, kissing it.

"Anong wish ni Papa?" I asked, curious.

"Basta, sa'min na ni Tito 'yon. Basta bati na tayo," she said as I pulled my hand back and crossed my arms.

"Basta, once na natupad na, sasabihin ko na sa'yo," she said and winked at me.

"Ewan ko sa'yo. Mag-drive ka na. Baka gabihin pa tayo," I said.

"E ano ba gagawin mo sa Batangas?" she asked.

"Yung kotse ko, remember? Nandun 'yon. Ang hirap naman na wala akong kotse dito," I explained.

"Pakuha na lang natin sa driver ni Dad. Please? May flight ako bukas. I'm gonna miss you. Bonding na lang tayo," she said, pouting.

"Ang OA, Beatriz," I said, but she continued to pout.

"Please," she pleaded. Hay nako.

"Oo na, oo na, pero can we talk first bago tayo magbonding?" I said.

"YES!" she shouted inside the car. Good thing we weren’t that far yet.

"Bea, ang sakit sa tenga," I said, covering my ears.

"Sorry na. I'm just happy pumayag ka, e. Hahaha. Anyway, ano pag-uusapan natin?" she asked.

"About your job," I said. She glanced at me as she made a U-turn, though I still didn’t know where we were headed.

"What about my job?" she asked.

"Papa has a share in that company. I only found out last day, and Mama doesn’t know about it either," I said.

"Oh, that’s wow! Tito is amazing talaga, ha. So, what about it?" she asked, clearly excited.

"E, I don’t have enough knowledge about how the airline business runs. Though I've done some research, it's still not enough," I admitted.

"So, what do you want to happen?" she asked, now more serious as she continued driving.

"Can you teach meeeeee?" I asked, grinning at her. She smiled back, glancing at me.

"Sure, why not? Basta may price ako," she said, teasing me.

"What do you want ba?" I asked seriously.

"Hahaha, you," she said. I playfully hit her.

"Awww, Jho! I’m driving, masakit 'yon ha?" she complained, but she was still laughing.

"Ang manyak mo, hindi ka pa rin nagbabago. I’m serious kasi. Ano nga?" I asked, trying to keep a straight face.

"You nga. I’m serious, hahaha," she said, but I gave her a stern look.

"I’m just kidding, hahaha. I’m willing to teach you naman kahit walang kapalit. Malakas ka sa'kin e," she said with a smile.

"Uyy, kilig siya oh," she teased, and I rolled my eyes at her.

"Hahaha, you're so cute, baby. Para tuloy gusto ko ng little you," she said with a mischievous grin.

"Hoy, hindi pa nga kita sinasagot. Umayos ka, de Leon," I warned her.

"Problema ba 'yon? Edi sagutin mo na 'ko," she said with a wink.
